What I found vastly interesting was Ali's initiation ceremony. So according to the much admired P3G group - there are certain qualities that identify "Men" and make them stand apart from "Women"
1. You will use your independent thinking and not follow the herd mentality: I thought the women in the Glass Room group were the ones using their brains - and the men on both sides are only playing "Follow The Leader" - Puneet/Gautam on this side and whoever is the stronger woman on that side.
2. You will not get into fights, instead will try to stop fights: Interesting!! So far the only Woman-Woman fight in the house has been the Diandra-Sonali fiasco - in all the rest of the fights there have either been two men or at least one man involved. Even in the Diandra Sonali fight - the men did all the shouting and jumping and drama - the two women just kept quiet, stated their POVs and minded their own business.
3. You will not be tale-bearer or try to instigate one group against the other: Again the women in the house have proved again and again that they are least bothered about what the other group is saying or doing. It is usually the men (Ali, Sushant, Arya) who carry tales and try to instigate fights.
4. You will try to be just in all situations and not favor your friends unduly: Again so far NO ONE in the house has been able to rise above the group mentality and be neutral or just at times of conflict. Not A Single House member.
Can't recall the rest and would appreciate if someone on the forum could update me. But the larger point is that none of these habits/behaviors are gender-specific. They are more to do with individuals - Urvashi was a person who was able to rise above groupism and support what is right, so was Kamya to some extent. Gauhar tried to be just and fair, though even she was not able to rise above supporting her friends. Arman and Imam are prime examples who thrived on creating conflicts. If it was Pratyusha last season, this season it is Sushant and Ali - who are tale- bearers.
What I always find objectionable is this kind of stereotyping and vilification of one gender - whether it is all negative traits associated with women, or whether it is objectifying men as maniacs, who can't be expected to control their sexual instincts.
