Doubt About SAHIL REMARRIAGE ...Some one plz explain it..

Actually in Islam the first time you divorce the couple can still get back together within 3 months and they don't even have to remarry, just reconcile...But if they pass the 3 months period then they have to remarry again. The same process goes on for the same couple the second time they divorce as well...
However the third time they divorce and they fail to reconcile during the 3 month period THEN they can't remarry each other unless the girl marries someone else and gets divorced. In actual fact this marrying someone else is not supposed to be just a technicality...it is meant to be a real marriage between the new couple wanting to marry to preserve this marriage...BUT if things don't work out and they divorce...THEN once again the former couple can marry if they wish...

But I guess in different cultures it differs...and definetely Gul tries to muddle the facts a lot to suit the drama...Kind of what is happening with RAFA>...But here actually there is bit of difference since Faiz pronounced Talak the word three times which is sometimes construced as divorcing the person 3 times in one go...
In which case the former clause where you have to marry someone else before you marry the same person applies in some cultures...
In my culture even if someone divorces pronouncing it as a divorcing 3 times in one go...it would still be regarded as one divorce because it cannot be done in reality as per the islamic teachings.

Remember Faiz wanted Rahat to marry Haya ...So once Rahat gave divorce to Haya , Faiz can remarry her.. Same think happened in Beintehaa also.. I also watched the same in some malayalam films also..

P.S I dont know much abt muslim traditions..So plz forgive me if i got this wrong..!

Dani, contract marriage does not exist in Islam AT ALL...And this is not even validated in any islamic court...even those who do it, do it just verbally...like it ACTUALLY was between Tanu and Sanam...but again even with regards to this Ahil was not even aware of this when they got married...They married infront of the Qazi and as per Islamic law a Nikaah cannot be invalidated unless they officially divorce, which Sahil has not done yet...Remember even Tanu was talking about the divorce paper untill very recently.
I really don't know what Gul is thinking here...because this invalidating Sahil marriage in 4 days is just pure hogwash as far as Islam is concerned in any culture...she is just muddling facts to suit the drama.
