I joined the forum because this was a nice place - to discuss the serial as well as various issues related to the tracks in the serial. There were occasions when discussions in the forum were even better than the tracks and solution for issues shown in the serial.

The situation is now changed. With the deterioration in the quality of tracks - there are changes in the forum also. Now one cannot criticize the tracks howsoever it is unrealistic or filmy or even against the law of the land. Everything is being "explained" in the name of entertainment. Whatever Shiv, Anandi or Jagya, Ganga is doing is right and real and is entertainment. One post of pointing out the mistakes of CVs is replied by numerous posts justifying what is being shown - obviously, one set of people will defend Jagya and Ganga and another set Anandi and Shiv. If the tracks are so real - then why either KB or BH story is boring as per posts?

No wonder - now the forum is reduced to appreciation threads of one or the other actor/character/jodi. Looks like all the members interested in discussion regarding tracks have left this place. So, with a heavy heart - goodbye for now - there does not seem to be a place for people like me in this forum now. I know nobody will miss me - I have no friends and had not joined any fan group - this post is just to let know what a neutral member thinks of the present situation.

I do not know whether posting this is against any forum rule. If this post violates any forum rules - I request mods to delete/lock this post.

well BV WU is no longer episode discussion its turn into Frustration Thread if anyone fav track is not shown in serial.

I agree character lovers taking over WU many times or every time. But I think you should not quit. Criticizing tracks healthy discussion over performance and stories is highlight of this forum.

If you feel Fan group is interfering way to much then its sad it shdn't happen. In fact members like you who doesn't belong to any AT or fan group are imp for discussing many issue regarding serials. This forum is always different than others for this point only. always discuss many serial tracks without being biased.

In fact many AT members are discussing serial avoid fav any character. I can give you names too.

thing is that when serial didn't show anyone's fav character's they bound get angry irritated when serial started showing something on them fans gets defensive mode. Plus sometimes non stop negative comments on each & every tracks is also unnecessary too.

Certainly fan group or characters lover shd consider other's opinion who doesn't belong to any group pr AT. One shd take criticism in healthy way. Still I will say this forums is much better very rarely fans groups get into war mostly stick to their topics only.

I will suggest you to re think about it.

I feel it is the lack of good tracks that neutral viewers are away that's why track related discussions are not happening any more

Personally, I tend to stay away from main forum when I don't have sufficient time. In that case I prefer to stick to appreciation threads only, which is the case for last few days.. But yeah, I do miss the healthy discussion threads and posts from few members.

Hope this situation changes soon.

Hi Puja - Firstly, you'll be missed. Cause nowadays I seriously don't find any posts other than yours that talk from the story perspective. I've been here for quite some time though I take short breaks inbetween. Earlier when I started off(about 3 and a half yrs ago) ,the forum was a very nice place. The discussions were mostly about the story. As you rightly said - with the deterioration of the quality in the story, fan groups took over and the mania reached a peak. My breaks earlier used to be very short as the forum was irresistible then. Now it's not that way anymore...I hardly come up. So when you say you're taking a break, I understand where you're coming from. It is hard for neutral members to stay here. Probably there'll be different/better places for such members.

Puja, I can understand ur feelings and I agree with post.
But please don't quit. I have joined this forum recently, but I was a silent reader for the past 2 yrs and is reading almost every posts excluding essays .
I love ur posts . They were always neutral and strictly based on the ongoing track. This forum needs people like u . So pls don't quit.

Understand that you are vexed with the forum and it's fan groups

But the fact is this is an open forum and as such it invites all kinds of viewers.There are many reasons as to why people watch a show. Some people watch it becaue they like the over all content of the show and some people watch it for the actors for whom they have developed liking and while some other people watch it because they probably like a few characters. When there are so many different kind of people watching the show the views and opinions are also bound to be from those perspective.

When one makes a post criticising the track and characters they should be open to accept others opinion too which is contradictory to one's own opinion should be prepared for debate on that issue.

A show like this has so many characters and some people watch it mainly for their own favorite characters and once their favourites' track is on they may be interested in watching it and find and write what they like about the track most.

Just like the constant gushing over their fav characters and tracks irks the neutral viewers unnecessary and constant criticism irks the fan groups too.

Just because one happens to like a few characters more that doesn't mean their posts are not sensible because they don't happen to be the so called neutral members.

Criticism goes two ways when one criticises a few peoples' views they should be accepting about criticism of their views too.

Criticism and appreciation should be in equal measures -- when one comes to make posts only when they want to criticise the tracks and characters their posts will be met with some defensive attitude from the respective fan groups.

I have been accused on several occasions too by the so called neutral members for defending a character i never took offence to that.When in fact I never did support any character including my own favorite character blindly.

I agree. Earlier this forum was much saner than it is now. I'm interested in JaGan track. But i have a few opinion about other tracks as well including AnSh. I watch BV show not just one character or jodi. But there are hardly any common posts being made. And even if its made, it becomes a battle ground that i sometime fear to even open those threads. Any post reaches more than 4 page - mostly means some war is going on there😆.

I have interacted with you, agreed with you and occasionally disagreed too. Like you I'm a neutral viewer, and cannot relate to fan support divorced from content.

That said BV is probably the sanest of discussion forums. Visit the forum of other soaps and you will find nothing except gushing over couples and OTT fan fiction.

To give an example, the serial Udann has had some brilliantly shot and executed tracks. The recent one where the little girl Chakor enthuses her buddies to run the school race was shot like a thriller -- near perfect acting, direction and execution.

But visit the forum and you will find Chakor being abused, and called a vamp. It seems people can't wait for her to grow up and romance. There is also a lot of openly-expressed class bias.

BV forum is like an island of sanity, though i agree with you that lately there is almost no discussion. People like Leavesandwaves and Esha have stopped posting and also other neutral viewers.

I miss the discussions too, and maybe you can start threads where we can try and debate the tracks and story rather than merely the characters and actors.

Part of the reason for the declining interest in discussion is the decline in the story which has become jumpy and episodic, and therefore way too predictable.

Even so, I would say please don't leave.
