Stupid drabble. Saw a post on FB. And this idea formed š

She walked among rows and rows of clothes, her eyes glazing over the racks. Aaliya looked deep in thought. And she was indeed.
How is one supposed to select a gift for someone who supposedly has everything?
Her crazy rich cousin had invited her to a birthday party.
A party she had no wish to attend, but she was forced to by her parents.
And she would rather show her the finger than gift her.
But she had a bit of manners, so here she was.
Wasting a perfectly good afternoon of her holidays selecting a gift fot a cousin whom she disliked immensely.
Lost in her thoughts, she crashed into something.
A pair of arms encircled her waist and steadied her.
She looked up to see a pair of caramel eyes gazing back at her.
"I- I am so sorry." She stammered.
"It's alright. I should be sorry. I am quite clumsy." He replied.
She nodded dumbly. His arms left her waist.
"Th- thanks." She stammered again. She was quite eloquant at most times, but then again, she found an exception.
"Hi, I am Zain." He smiled warmly while extending his hand.
"Do your eyes always twinkle?" She blurted out.
Aaliya groaned internally. It appears that she had a case of vebal diaohrrea too.
He looked amused.
"I wouldn't know."
She gave him an embarrased smile.
"Sorry."
"You apologize a lot."
"Sorry." She replied.
She bit her tongue.
"Point noted."
"And you must be?"
"Aaliya." She said finally.
"A beautiful name."
She blushed.
"So Aaliya, can you do me a favour?"
Her brow raised, a questioning look on her face.
"Its- uh,um. My ex just walked into the store with someone. Can I just hang out with you for a while?"
"Oh." She said, coming short of words.
"Please?"
"Um,okay, I guess.. till she leaves the store?" She asked.
He breathed, looking relieved. "Thanks loads Aaliya."
"So, besides giving out favours to complete strangers," he continued in the same breath, hands inside his pockets, "what do you do?"
"Oh, I am studying Biotechnology at NM."
"Really?" He asked,looking surprised.
"Yeah, why?"
"Oh, I study there too! But Business."
"Oh, what a pleasent coincedence."
"Are you searching for something specific?"
"Yeah,actually a gift for someone who has everything."
"Hahaha,spoilt and rich? Gift her the finger." He said, gesturing to the hand glove with the middle finger up and a f**k you written over it.
She laughed out loud.
"That is what I thought. But alas. I couldn't."
And 6 dresses and a number exchange later, he bid adeiu to her.
And that is when she realised- there was no other couple than them there.
