We came into each other's life at an impressionable age'

The leggy actress confessed that though it took a while to become friends with her ex Ranbir, there is no awkwardness. "Though we are not in touch every single day, somewhere we will always be very special. Whatever said and done, we came into each other's life at a very impressionable age," quipped Deepika.

It's too early to say Ranveer and I are seeing each other'

As for her current beau Ranveer Singh, Dippy finally let out that she has stopped worrying about "log kya karenge? Kya kahenge?" A lot of of her change in attitude she attributes to Ranveer. "He is such free-spirited person. It influences you," she said. When asked if she is ready to admit that they are seeing each other, she said, seeing each other' is a very strong statement. "Relationships don't happen overnight. It's definitely an equation that I value a lot, but it's too early to say we are seeing each other. But there is something very special about him as a person," she confessed. Having been bitten once, Deepika feels the need to guard her relationships. "We work so hard as an actor and don't want to be known for our failed relationships," she quipped.

Talking about her pow-vow with erstwhile friend Sonam, Deepika revealed that since she knows her competitor very well, she never takes what she says to heart! "Sonam still sends Diwali gifts to me. That wouldn't happen if we had an issue," she smiled.

I take it as it comes'

When it comes to her career, the former model said that she has no expectations from her career. "I always take it as it comes, it's a mantra I follow," she said. Her being cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om was destined, she believes. Whether it's her films or relationships, Dippy said that they have made her understand her craft better. "The possibility of me going crazy was obviously there but I decided to only look forward and not dwell," she stated matter-of-factly. It was during Cocktail that she realised she has a wild child in her and considers it one of her most defining moments.

I just did what I felt right'

On the issue of a leading publication showing a video of her cleavage that created a furore, Deepika said she never imagined it would take such a big turn. "At that point, I just did what I felt was right. So from there, talking about it constantly doesn't make it better or worse," she said putting it to rest once for all.
