Promo is really amazing but Colors has a tendency of degrading its shows and now it will be interesting to see how they pull this epic because Ashoka was a great emperor of India.

Hate colors but if SS is finalised to play Ashoka then I need to watch this!

Its great that nowadays producers n directors have grown interest in making shows based on mythology n history.
Finally they have realized that saas-bahu serials are not worth it...

However, whoever makes Ashoka, I just hope they make it properly n not ruin it by overdramatizing or whitewashing or blackwashing any character to great extent.

In Maharana Pratap, Akbar is being shown as an extremely cruel, bad person which i dont think was the case.
He maynot have been as good as he waw depicted in Jodha Akbar, but he was the greatest Mughal Emperor.

I just hope that the makers depict Ashoka as he was.
I have limited knowledge on Ashoka but i have heard that he was a tyrant in his initial days but changed completely after witnessing widescale destruction in the Kalinga War. I hope the makers show that side to him...

Shaheer or Aham...both would look amazing as Ashoka.

A historical war: Siddharth Tewary and Abhimanyu Singh race to make serial on king Ashoka

Siddharth Tewary who produced the latest TV version of Mahabharat was all set to make the historical Ashoka for Star Plus. But even before it has gone on the floors, promos of another serial on the warrior king are being aired on Colors. This Ashoka is being produced by the maker of Maharana Pratap, Abhimanyu Singh.

Both the serials will be depicting Ashoka's life journey from his childhood. In the past, there have been instances of two or more serials being simultaneously made and aired on the Elephant God and Shiva. Now, it remains to be seen if both Ashoka's will hit the screen at the same time!

the main reason colors shows dont do well is they have bad shows. the end the good shows many times to give slot to BB. NBT was an example. it was a wonderful show.

but i think this ashoka is diff. so now we are going to have 2 ashokas. thts not good for the trps of both.
