What would have been the viewers reaction if
Chirag character was played by Shakti Arora and Ranveer was played by Anmol Parnami (Devarsh Parekh). Devarsh Parekh is the cousin of Ishani.
I feel "The Actor" playing the character has an effect on the viewers likes or dislikes for the character.

Ranveer and Shakti are made for each other. Anmol is a newcomer, I think, and carrying on with a character like Ranveer wasn't in his ability. This is why he's doing the role of an immature cousin. Shakti's an experienced actor who does almost everything gracefully. Ranveer's character has many shades. Initially he was an innocent, childish young man who didn't care about the world too much, and later the same guy became the broken lover--all of this was portrayed by Shakti faultlessly. Now, he's returned as a ruthless, cynic, arrogant business tycoon RV, Shakti has been able to do this so perfectly that you can't think he was doing quite the opposite few episodes back. I was wondering how Shakti will manage to portray the character of RV since he's not done so in past few months, but HE DID IT! I personally found no flaw in his performance. Not that I'm aware of ABCs of acting, but I found him very impressive. Therefore, I can't imagine anyone as Ranveer and Anmol wouldn't have made a good impact as Ranveer.
Nowadays, the difference between Ranveer and Chirag is their moral values: Ranveer wouldn't use anyone for his personal use while Chirag wouldn't shy away. Ranveer is, too, shown as quite selfish, arrogant and with many others negative qualities (for those who don't know him), and Shakti Arora has done this beautifully. I wouldn't be suprised if he's seen doing the role of a devil in upcoming shows. If you mean to say how it would have affected the actors, I feel Shakti has done/would have done both the roles with perfection. And how the characters would be accepted with the actors you suggested, I will say, with strong characterization strong performance is needed as well. I'm happy to say Shakti has done his job wonderfully and hasn't disappointed his fans, and has made many others (including myself) his fan.

I don't agree to it. Devaresh role is neither strong nor demanding so its wrong to put aspersions on his abilities for just being new comer.

Objectively Ranveer did little pre-leap except crying and anyone could have done it.

There is nothing in comparison but I'm sure anyone who is in the business of acting could have done what RV did post leap. Its the character and director which matters more.

Ranveer did use his parents respect and physical abuse just for his one sided love which was highly immoral.

I only say there is a very thin line between the character and the performer for the viewers. The viewers responses are based on a mixed vision, how they perceive the actor and character. In most of the cases its the actor which dominates. If Shakti was playing Chirag, many viewers wouldn't have disliked him so much and wanted him to loose. They may have preferred Chirag to turn positive for Ishani.

I read EK's interview somewhere in which she said that she had to delay the start of this show by a few months because she was looking for a male lead with depth in his acting and someone who could express different emotions with his eyes. So that's why our dove-eyed hero ❀️ is so perfect for this role. 😊 His eyes express love, hatred, pain and anger so perfectly so I don't think anybody else could have done such an amazing job! 😳

Shakti I feel would have carried out Chirag's character with the same gusto he's been doing with Ranveer. He's a talented actor and he can do a negative role equally impressively. I can't vouch for Anmol though. He's a newcomer it seems and it shows in his performance.
