Okay.. Malkin, bro, biopic,.. I was kidding there.😆 But the name along with the cast and director of the movie is on Wikipedia, YRF's movie list.

I knew you were kidding 🤣 but I couldn't think of any other reason why they'd name it "Raja Aur Rani" and cast Rimi Sen in it(I mean they couldn't even give her a decent length role in D2) so just went along with it...doesn't sound far-fetched to me. 😆

YRF used to have almost every film be on a grand scale, shot lavishly overseas. Even a film like Neal n Nikki without much star power was shot on a huge scale overseas and was very urban. Nowadays, only their big films (such as Ek Tha Tiger, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Dhoom 3) are shot overseas/on a grand scale. It was around 2007-2008 that they started doing more desi films that are shot in Indian setting, such as Aaja Nachle, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Dil Bole Hadippa, etc. Then from Band Baaja Baraat, almost every film of theirs has been shot in a desi setting.

The grand scale, overseas, lavish good looking films of YRF are almost gone, and I miss it. As I said, only their biggest films have that grand scale now. Their smaller films have no appeal though! It doesn't help matters that almost all of their smaller films have Anushka Sharma or Parineeti Chopra playing the same role over and over and over again.

Another point ...years ago only multi-starrers, khans, dharma, YRF movies would be huge hits. Nowdays the CONTENT plays the biggest role.
The audience is more open minded, that's why a YRF film like DEI has failed and a random movie like Queen is a hit! I don't think stuff like casting, production house etc matters AS MUCH. Sure it does matter to certain extent but I really feel that a non-starrer movie that is well-made CAN work today. 10 years ago they would've needed YRF or Dharma backing but not today!

Pretty good points here. After BBB all their romcoms look the same with similar settings and characters.

Why do you think they're serious about BC? I thought it was tax evasion only...besides Riteish, everyone else is...not so big for YRF to bother about it. Yeah the Ayushman film is produced by Maneesh so let's see. But I don't expect much from YRF.

The reason I think it might not be tax evasion was because they fired Kapil...if they didnt care they would have gone with Kapil only instead of taking the trouble to find someone else. Plus BC is also one of the directors turning producer. Atleast he will be serious.
