Why are some topics closed?

I just read some posts on the ASH-ABHI wedding topic and found that the topic was closed. There was a post saying that the topic had been discussed earlier. Is that why the topic was closed?

Since this is supposed to be a forum of people that joined to discuss diff topics and vent their opinions to each other why shud it matter if the topic was discussed earlier. if people feel strongly about something and still want to discuss it, shouldn't they be allowed to do so. Isn't that the purpose of people joining a forum that they can discuss things they care about. Its great that you all have given us this amazing forum. I can't thank you all enough for the effort and time everyone puts in, I am a real IF browsing addict although i don't post v often but am so glad you have given me an oppurtunity to do so if and when i choose. But my feelings are that why shud there be a time frame in limiting people from expressing their views. sometimes people feel so strongly that they can't get over it. Let them vent !!!

Yes if they get abusive etc, you shud block them or warn members. There has to be a sense of decency and respect in the forum. But healthy critiscm and views should not have a time frame in my opinion.

I make my comments just as an observation and please take it in that vein. I may be wrong in my opinion and please feel free to correct me if I am.

I am one of the Mods for this forum. Could you gimme a link of the topic?

In the KWK forum many topics are closed daily because they don't have ANYTHING to do with KWK. We do try to leave a couple going to have some discussions going.

Other topics are closed because they become violent and members begin bashing one another.

If you gimme the link I can look into it for you. :)

Exactly, some topics have NOTHING to do with KWK and so are closed. Like preity*zinta and Fashion_2005 said there is another place to discuss such topics like Ash-Abhi, Bollywood Section.

I too have heard that Ash-Abhi will be coming on KWK but some of the topics opened are really off-topic in terms of section.

Some topics are closed because of bashing etc. Some are closed as they have been discussed before so why not look for that topic and post there then open a new one?
