Hello All PRC'ians!
The recent discussions in various threads have compelled me to ask all of you a very direct question:
Why do you watch the show Dharti Ka Veer Yodha - Prithviraj Chauhan?
I can understand that most of you want Rajat and Mugdha to be there for the Swayamvar. You guys are attached to the jodi and have loved the way both the actors portray their love for each other on screen as Prithviraj and Sanyogita. Is all the attraction to the show only because of this RT-MC jodi? Do you watch DKVY - PRC only because you want to see their love story? Only because you want to see RT-MC chemistry as Prithvi n Sanyo?
A lot of effort has gone into making this historical epic drama of which all of you are aware. The team has done an awesome job..be it with the script, dialogues, screenplay, direction, sets, costumes, acting...
A few members have come up with the various reasons why Rajat and Mugdha should continue till the Swayamvar and even till the end. But will their performances as grown-ups too or jus as 17 (Prithvi) n 14 (Sanyo) yr olds in the Swayamvar look real? You guys say that a little make-up..some gyming..stuffed costumes will make Rajat look older and perfect for the role. As for Mugdha..shez already a 21 yr old..so no problem in showing her doing the Swayamwar.
But the point is that some moustache and beard won't make Rajat look older. Instead we would laugh at his apprearance just as we did when Prithvi disguised himself as a 'Rajwada' and Sanyo disguised herself as his wife.
The real idea behind making the show was to make people aware of the story of a historical figure of importance; the real hero is the real Prithviraj Chauhan. The story and its presentation in the serial should not be compromised just because the audience wants to see a few actors. The roles were extended to keep the thrill alive. But one day Rajat has to move out of the serial.
Sagars are capable of showing the transition smoothly and they would do so in PRC too..so jus trust them and watch the serial not because you want to see a few actors but because you want to understand the real Prithviraj Chauhan.
I have always loved Rajat's performance as Prithvi and I admire the way he has brought out the character and made him alive. But I fail to understand why he should be doing the Swayamvar. I personally want him to leave the show now itself and move to other projects.
So PRC'ians, please come out of your sheds and answer my question with full honesty.
