Chapter Three

It was nearly 2 at night, When taani woke, She was having craving to eat some ice cream. She look over her right side, Rey was sleeping peacefully with his arms around her, Protectively wrapped. Taani quietly remove his arm and got down from bed. Taani went in kitchen to get some ice cream for herself. Here in room Rey missed her warmth so he roam his hand on her side of bed to get hold of her but she wasn't there, Rey open his eyes, there was a fear in his heart of her leaving him. Rey checked in room then in washroom but didn't saw her, Then rey came out of his room and he heard some sounds coming from kitchen. He hurriedly went downstairs. Rey stop at the entrance of kitchen, his lips curved into beautiful smile seeing her searching something in fridge. Her child like expressions were worth watching, he could watch her all day like this without even blinking for once. His smile disappeared, Worry took over him as he saw her, She sat there on chair, she was sobbing silently, her cheeks were moist as tears continue falling down from her eyes. Rey ran toward her, kneel down in front of her. Taani got starlet seeing him.

"Hey...hey, What happen? Stop crying" Rey asked her in worried tone, He gently wipe her tears away. His heart clench seeing her crying

"Tell me what happen taani?" Rey asked her lovingly. Rey cup her face between his palms. Taani threw her arms around his neck and hug him, Rey got shocked but hug her back, he rub her back to calm her down. After sometime rey broke the hug.

"Tumhe kuch chahiye?" Rey asked her, Taani nodded in yes. She look hesitate but rey kept his hand on her and assured her. Taani gave him soft small smile then pointed toward empty box of ice cream kept on kitchen counter.

"You want to eat ice cream?" Rey asked her in gentle tone, Rey was smiling knowing the reason why she was crying.

Taani nodded but then her face fell when she tell him through her actions that there is no ice cream in fridge. Rey got up and left from there, leaving a confuse and angry taani behind, here she told him she wants to eat ice cream and he just left without saying anything. More tears made their way in her eyes.

After 5 minutes rey came back with a shawl ans car keys, Taani gave him confuse look.

"Ice cream khaane nahi jaana?" Rey said in playful manner, her face lit up, she nodded. Rey let out a chuckle seeing her childish behavior. Rey wrap shawl around her, outside weather is windy and cold. Taani smiled seeing his care.Rey wrap his one arm around her and take her outside the mansion. All the while rey could feel her questioning gaze on him, he decided to give her all answers tomorrow. Right now he want to live this moment. He wants to feel this feeling of being a husband and father.

Rey open the passenger side door and made her sit. He quickly hope in and drove to ice cream parlor. Their journey went in comfortable silence. After 15 minutes of drive they reached there.

"Taani its really cold outside, Its not good for your health so you stay here in car and Ill go and bring your ice cream" Rey told her, his voice was sweet with mixture of huskiness that gave her tingles in her body.


Taani nodded in understanding, She too knew that its not good for her and baby's health. Rey open his side of door then turn toward her.

"Which flavor you want? Strawberry?" Rey asked her, taani nodded in no.

"Blueberry?" Rey asked her hoping for yes as blueberry was her favorite but again this time too she nodded in no.

"So chocolate?" He asked her, he smiled when he saw her face lit up and she smiled broadly and nodded in yes.

"Okay you wait here Ill back" Rey said, He quickly place a peck on her cheek and left, Taani was shocked first, she could feel her cheeks heat up, before she knew she was blushing crimson red but she was confuse too with his sudden change in behavior. She remembered last time when she was having craving, how much she wished he was there, fulfilling her wish but now he is here for her. And she couldn't wish for anything right now.

Rey came back with a tub of chocolate chip ice cream, as soon as Rey got inside Taani snatch the ice cream from his hand. Rey laugh at her childishness, as taani started to eat he start car's engine and drove back home. From corner of his eyes, he was stealing glancing at her, she was eating like a child, ice cream was smeared on her face making her look more adorable in his eyes. Rey park his car and was about to open his side of door but stopped when he felt soft grip on his arm, he turn to face her.

Taani gave him smile and forward a spoonful of chocolate ice cream. Rey gave her surprise look but taani ignored it, she made him eat ice cream with her. Taani giggle as by mistake she spread ice cream on his face, Rey gave her fake glare but that doesn't stop her, in face she laugh more, At last Rey gave up and was laughing his heart out with her. His laughter stop when he hear her painful shriek, she put her hand on her baby bump, Rey panic seeing this.

"Are you okay taani? kahan pain ho raha hai? hum doctor ke pass chale? rey asked in panic yet concern tone. Taani just smile making him confuse before he could ask anything, She grab his hand and placed it on her abdomen where baby was growing.

"Baby...kicked" His words were barely whispered, tears welled up in his eyes, feeling his baby's kick, for the first time. rey bend down and kissed her belly, Taani smiled, she is getting what she wished for, his Love for their baby. Rey was feeling bad inside, as he had missed so much.

"Please come soon baby, dadda can't wait to play with you" Rey said to said, he caress her belly bump along with kissing her belly. His sweet talk with baby got disturb when she yawned, she started to feel sleepy.

"Mumma is tired We'll talk in morning...Okay baby, now time for sleep" Rey said to baby, then coming out of the car he walk toward her side, opening the door of her side, he scoop her in his arms. He let out a chuckle seeing her shock expression.

Walking inside their bedroom, Rey gently placed her their bed. Just then rey notice she still have ice cream on her face well his face is also covered with ice cream. Taani giggle, she stood up from bed and went in washroom to clean her face, rey too follow her.

After cleaning their faces, they came out. taani was about to laid down on bed but rey stopped her by holding her wrist, he bring her close to him then embrace her in his arms. Rey let his tears fall down, he was weeping silently in her arms, he wasn't feeling well, guilt was eating him up from inside.

Taani felt something wet on her shoulder, she quickly broke the hug realizing he was crying. Taani made him face her.

"I am sorry taani, i know i don't deserve forgiveness still i am asking you, please forgive me, I had punished you when there was no fault of yours, I am a horrible husband, a father, I am ashamed of my behavior toward you, I am sor..." Taani stopped him from talking by placing her palm on his mouth, both were crying. taani nodded in no trying to say there is no fault of his. She made him sit on bed then ask him to wait, Rey look confuse when he saw her going toward drawer, she took out a diary and pen, and start writing, he don't know what she was thinking but in his heart he was praying that she won't think of leaving him because he won't be able to live without her and their baby.

Taani sat beside on bed and gave him paper, she wrote what was in her heart.

"I know in which circumstances we got married were not good, I can understand what you must have felt that time and don't say its your fault, you got married to a mute girl that too against your will so like every normal person your reaction to this marriage was normal, you never treated me badly, always gave me what i wanted, you make sure everything is perfect for me then how can you say you are a horrible husband, You are a perfect husband and father..."

Rey didn't read anything further, Rey look at her in shock, Is she for real, How can someone be so selfless. Taani stare back at him, soon finding herself drowning into his beautiful chocolate brown eyes, Rey shifted close to her, Rey kept his palm on her right cheek.

"Can we start a new, you, me and baby, we will lead a happy life, give me a last chance to prove me, let me make it up to you for all the pain, loneliness you have gone through because of me" Rey whispered, Taani nodded in yes. She was more willing to give him chance, their relation a chance. Both were happy, she got her happiness back, which she lost long back and he was feeling like he got everything, his wife, his baby. And he was determined that he will make everything right, he will showered his Love on them this time being there with them not from distance.

He laid down on bed with her in his arms, soon they slip in to beautiful peaceful slumber, feeling loved in each others arms.
