Who was the dor, and who was the Patang?

They both pulled each other and fell the other pull at their heart strings

He wanted to see the face that till now had played hide and seek with him

Like chand and badal

She too was mesmerized by this man she should feel only anger for !

A wordless wonder of a scene, where he held her hand with full adhikar

And she never thought of pulling it back

Till he claimed victory

These were the days of beautiful moments and intriguing dialogues

Awaaz yahan tak kheench layi aur chehra toh ...

What was he going to say? How would he have completed this sentence ?

Let's together remember those beautiful days scene by scene
The days when Saras and Kumud together shared beautiful moments and

When their hearts beat for each other as one!

Arshi...

Folks are flocking to your last CB thread ...its titled Alvida...buts its a CB nevertheless...and there's no activity or your presence there...😊

Suggest you merge this one and the earlier one 'Dil Kya Kare' into that...

Will be good to have a single sign-off thread instead of multiple ones..

Haye. Unn dino dialogues hi nahi saras aur kumud ke kirdar bhi kafi complicated aur intriguing hua karte the.
I think I took a lot of time to understand kumud's anger. Saras was very gentle in general(though he did behave very rudely with her a couple of times) and that used to make me wonder why she was rude with him. But she was dealing with that rejection every minute, while he would behave many a time as if he didn't reject at all. And would send feelers to her.

Thanks Hgg, I have finally started replying to all the alvida comments

I guess I just didn't want to close alvida, and wanted to keep the show alive anyhow.

Very well said Arshi ji.
Saras incomplete statement meant a lot.
He was mesmerized first by her voice and then by her looks.
They both liked each other but couldnt express their feelings.
All these r the beautiful memories of SAMUD/JENAM and our journey with them.
One more thing Arshi ji while other fans raise their voice to bring their fav actor actress back we should also do.
We should raise our voice that JENAM should host Nach Baliye and diwali special.
We should let the prod house and channel know this.

Hi Arshicsji, your description of this scene in your inimitable style is apt and lovely. This is indeed one of my most favourite samud moments. Those days almost all samud romantic moments till karwachowth were blissful and of great excellence and beauty. The lead actors too enhanced the beauty of those scenes with their subtle and sensuous act. That entire phase was an awe-inspiring and elevating experience and the memories are still vivid.

This particular scene was the extension of the lively patang sequence which flowed naturally into this samud romantic encounter. What a magic and visual appeal the scene oozed! Their chemistry was stoked up and almost palpable. The setting was natural creating a moment which two people want to share at a subconscious level. At that moment the couple remained deeply connected on an emotional level.

The patang and the dor were the two objects of remarkable significance in their life. Both were used in various circumstances to depict the imbalance in their relationship and the instability in their life situations. Saras had always been the dor that held the patang i.e kumud's life (which was erratic and directionless) in a vice-like grip. Even destiny couldn't tear away the kumud patang from saras dor's firm hold.

In the above mentioned scene one of the highlights was that kumud looked breathtakingly beautiful and saras stood in awe of that beauty. Gauti brilliantly displayed the 'mesmerised' saras. His unsaid, incomplete dialogue added value to the scene.

The original saras and kumud were emotionally complex characters, quite unpredictable. He was intense, introvert, yet gentle and sensitive. She was considerate, strong-willed, yet sharp and egoistic. So they were individualistic. Saras, from his standpoint felt he was correct and sensible whereas kumud for a long time couldn't come to terms with his initial outright rejection. Hence at times they both were at loggerheads with each other, but nevertheless one could sense an undercurrent of mutual attraction between them. In this scene it gloriously came to the forefront.

The haunting kuch na kahe melody magnified the effect and drew us wholly into it. The close proximity and connect elicited the unknown, undefined deepest feelings for each other. Their hide and seek game ultimately came to a close with this aesthetically pleasing moment. Really a sumptuous treat. My only quibble is that the epic moment was immediately followed by an emotionally charged scene (saras talab scene - a well shot and enacted one).

Arshiji, whenever I watch the previous episodes of the first three months I realise what this serial could have been. The beauty of the initial scenes is incomparable in terms of aesthetics, emotion, etc. As mentioned by Lal04, the talab scene that followed was actually what mesmerised me and that day I fell in love with Gautam Rode.
Jennifer and Gautam were so good in the intial episodes, that ehsaas so talked upon was so palpable in their scenes though there was not any physicality involved. That was the beauty of SC.

Aww my favourite kite flying scene.. Ye post ne tho puraani yaadein taaza kar diya di... I would like to share my SC story... 😃

It all started in Feb 2013... I was in my final yr Post grad... those were the days when i had only 2 things in my life... one dfd and other was my hod... My hod was a typical iitian...🤢 mirror image of 3 idiots ka virus...(no offence to any iitians... purely my pov...😳) Unfortunately i was forced to do my mini project under my hod's guidance...😡 which also meant i along with my 2 other illfated classmates were supposed to attend the project sessions after working hours i.e., after 5 p.m...😲 Usually we used to have a session around 2 - 3 hrs... I used to return home by 8 p.m... 🤢Life was mechanical and revolved around dfds...😭 All work no play made Jyo a dull gal...

Tv had been my sole source of entertainment those days...😃 Those were also the days IPKKND had ended few months back (unfortunately i couldn't watch even a single episode of this much talked show..)and my mom had done temporary hello hi bye bye to tv in IPK's gham😆( my mom doen't like typical trp shows and no dobi vahu serial excites her..😆) so no slots were booked by anyone @ home..😆

One day... i was changing channels as usual... and suddenly stopped at dd1... i saw something... it was not the usual dd1 type...😲 I didn't understand what was it... bt dekh ke accha laga...😃 for the first time in past 1 yr i actually felt good for something other than dfd...😳 it was the holi promo of SC...😃 and i mistook it for tide advertisement(sacchi)...😆 From that day i used to wait for the new tide ad on dd1... 😆 my bad luck it never came when i switched on tv... slowly life was getting back to normal dull phase... and one day suddenly i saw something very new...and exciting... 😃it was skydiving promo of SC...😳 This was not at all dd1 type... i carefully watched it till end to know what is it actually... then i realised it was actually Saraswatichandra serial promo!!!!😲 😳 I was super excited!!!😃 What excited me more about SC was GR in and as SC!!!! I had been GR dewaani from my high school days when his chalne lagi hawayen album released... ☺️ Now watching GR daily was like sone pe suhaga!!

Feb 25th 2013, 8 p.m... the day i cannot forget... as usual i started changing channels... eagerly waiting for clock to strike 9.30...😳 (Initially i didn't know SC was airing in SP at 7.30...😆 ) i killed time by changing channels... it was 9p.m.. i was dead tired as my hod had taken special classes to complete syllabus🤢(i still wonder who was awake in that class😕)... those were the days migraine was my best friend... 😭 i thought of taking a nap before 9.30 and slept on couch with tv on in mute mode...😆 soon i was dreaming... i was flying... high and high... fast and fast...🤣 i was so happy...😆 suddenly i felt as if someone pulling my wings... i heard a voice ... far somewhere... that voice was calling me...it was like sweet lullaby...😆 suddenly voice became loud and loud... and harsh...😲 i opened my eyes... it was my big bro... 😆 He was trying to wake me up as i had slept keeping remote tightly... 😆 i got up and saw the time!! It was already 9.35 pm!! And SC had begun!!first scene was going on!!!😃 Very first scene of SC... GA singing with her same expressions in a controlled manner..🤣 I wanted to ROFL but i saw my bro and mom warning not to disturb them... SLB tag and GR in lead just made me hope there is something better... and then came the epic intro of Saras... 👏 👏 👏it was breataking, mindblowing experience!!!👍🏼 i literally got goosebumps while watching that scene...😳 And then came Kumud Sundari's intro sceen... Omg...!!! They were just out of the world...👏 Me-mom-bro were highly impressed got hooked and booked slot for SC...😃

For me SC till SaMud shaadi breakup was classic... 👏 those huge grand larger than life sets, outstanding star casts, sharp precise punching dialogues, power packed performances of the leads and supporting cast, cinematography, editing, direction, background score everything was just awesome... 👏it took us to an entirely different world... Then there was change in PH... Trp tracks were introduced.. 🤢 with SaMud shaadi, show officially became no longer novel based... Slowly from romantic classic SC became saas-bahu drama 😲 With this SC lost its charm...😭 Only saviour of this show was its adorable leads...😳 Cvs started thopofy ek ke baad ek ghatiya tracks... the last but one track vijay-khushi track killed SC completely😡 now when i think of all these.. i feel jo hua accha hi hua.. if SC still had that old charm and then it would've been much more difficult for all of us to come out of SC hangover... 😆
