DAAWAT E ISHQ Is Average And KHOOBSURAT Remains Dull On Day One

''Daawat E Ishq'' and ''Khoobsurat'' released today and like last week, both films have different set of audience. Last week releases are virtually out of competition and next week will see few small films so one out of two today''''s release has good chance to sustain if it manages some sort of appreciation.

''Daawat E Ishq'' opened to around 20-22% occupancy and it has better start in Lucknow, Kanpur, Surat, Indore and other small towns. Film collected close to 4.80 cr nett on day one which is strictly average number.

''Khoobsurat'' opened to close to 15% occupancy and film is complete no no in small towns. Film has to depend on multiplexes for big growth from evening onwards otherwise it will have stiff target over weekend. Film collected close to 3-3.10 cr nett as film failed to grow from evening onwards.

Now both the films will depend on weekend growth and if both films fail then this will spell doom for the exhibitors as next 13 days or so will be full of non performing films.

I feel bad for Fawad that he had to debut in this. Serves Soanm right though. She has been going to town dissing everyone and now she's gonna get royally thwacked by public. Ironic because the one person she publicly dissed has her movie out at the same time and doing better than Sonam's. Kismat ka khel bohut Ajeeb hain re Pushpa. 😆

I hope DEI does at least average business I want it to succeed.

Zero sympathy for Sonam and ARK...feeling bad for Fawad and Pari though...If what the members who have watched FK's play say about him is true...then he deserved a better debut with a better actress and ARK is a lazy ass who doesn't do shit about promoting his movies...
