Hellooo Bolly Forumians

It's been like the longest time since we have had a discussion, so I came up with a new topic that we can we have weekly discussions on....and each week we will discuss a new promo

So as we all know, right off the bat, the first promo of a film is very very important. It's that 1-3 min promo that will either interest or disinterest the audience, and by the first promo you decide whether your going to go and watch the film or just wait for the DVD

So far this year, I think the most interesting promo that I have seen so far is Cash, and eagrerly waiting for Jodha Akbar's first promo

But for this week's discussion the promo we will be talking about is:

Naqaab

Trailer:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=JHGja8GgdPU

Now I am a huge fan of thriller and suspense films, and in bollywood the duo that has successfully deliever some of the best thrillers is Abbas-Mustan. And the first promo of Naqaab is just excellent, fast music in the background, love how the promo begins with the marriage thing, also I like how the faces change, and as a whole the film looks like a must-watch

Previw for Naqaab

Cast: Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna, Urvashi Sharma, Vikas Kalantri
Director: Abbas Burmawalla and Mustan Burmawalla

This thriller focuses on Sophie (Urvashi Sharma), a young confident girl from a middle-class family.

Whilst engaged to handsome millionaire Karan Khanna (Bobby Deol), she comes into contact with handsome, debonair Vicky Malhotra (Akshaye Khanna).

Vicky is a struggling but ambitious actor who would stop at nothing to achieve his aims.

So as time goes by, her affections shift to Vicky causing a rift in her relationship with Karan.

This shocking thriller also focuses on the shady past of all the three characters with some alarming twists and turns.

Director duo Abbas-Mastan is back with another thriller Naqaab, which is based on a love triangle with a surprising twist.

Releasing by Adlabs in the UK, Naqaab brings together Bobby Deol and Akshaye Khanna after their box office hit, Humraaz (2002) which was also directed by Abbas-Mustan.

So for the discussion:

How important is the first promo of a film for you? Rate the promo of Naqaab. Are you interested in watching the film? What are your opinions/comments about the past Abbas-Mustan thriller films.

Love Bollywood Dev Team,

Khushi, Meghavi, Swati, Chandani and Rashi

Nice discussion!!

Firstly i think promo's are very inportant, as they obviously tell you a bit about the film and help you decide whether your going to hit the cinema or make it a miss. But sometimes, these promo's can be evry misleading. For example, JBJ promo's were very lush and thriving, however you rather wish me not to talk about JBJ 😆

Naqaab..hmmm..although im not a big fan of the starcast...but i loved the promo!! 😳

It seems exteremely interesting and loks like its a going to be a good thriller!!..I ve always enjoyed Abbass-Mustan films. Although wasnt a good fan of 36 Chinatown. I am really looking forward to this film by looking at the promo's. 😳

I like the promo of Naqaab but it's not important to have a good promo. For example LRMB didn't had a good promo but the movie became a huge success. Going back to Naqaab promo, it's very stylish and like the beats and bobby deol looking great. To me it's like a sequel to Humraaz. 😕 I will wait for the dvd of naqaab.

gr8 topic...👏 so i thought why not input some of my views...

well somehow this promo didnt sell me the movie until the end..wen the three of them are at one place and another person is video shooting them.... now thats wat intrigued me...may be this film is worth a watch...who knows...

Promos sell a movie...so according to me are very important... they make the worst movies seem the best... once the promo is worked on... nothing can stop public from watching ur movie (after public has watched a dumb movie and they talk bad has got nothing to do with a good promo 😆 )

and if your promo is not good but ur movie was a box office hit...then good for you 😉

yah and i agree with fashion_2005 that it reminded me of humraaz - amisha patel...

Hmm well i think that the promos are really important..
they give you shows on what the movie might be like...If it will be good or bad...and helps u make the decision if u want to watch it or not...
As for Naqaab...I like the cast of the movie..
As for the thriller in the movie, I love thrillers...😃
The promo of Naqaab makes me want to watch the movie...

Nice disscussion

anyways I think the promos are very important because you get to know from them if it is your type movie or not and wheather it will be worth to spent your money on.

I had this experieance because I used to hate Emran Hashmi but when I saw the promos of AwarapanI started liking him and I found out that it is a great movie to watch.
