We have had our ups and downs with SC but Gautam and Jenny have never failed us. Two actors which have always given it their 200% and a Jodi that has made a mark in the history of TV. Their chemistry, their vibe...that will always be remembered.
What a beautiful journey it has been and yesterday, the announcement of Choti Tezz Dhaar/Chota Methi ka laddoo...That was the complete icing to the cake! Made me forget all my giley shikwe with the cvs.
What a beautiful journey it has indeed been...the SLB journey will always be one that will stay in our hearts forever and ever.
The original VC..his image is so fresh in my mind. Him and Jenny's relation as father daughter seemed so special and unique. The present VC has done utmost justice to the character but I will always see Kumud's baapu has the previous one.
That journey in itself was magical.
The bond of the three sisters and then Saras's entry in the VC mansion! Kumud's akkad on not showing her face, His anger, his pain...how will we ever forget. When they first came face to face, those scenes..I could watch over and over again. How magical and no one else could have done it so convincingly as Gautam and Jenny have done. They really made us believe that saras and kumud are meant for each other. They are soulmates.
All the most amaaazing moments...even now give me goosebumps! The gau hatya and how Kumud stands up for Saras, the making of the matkaas scenes, the falling in the mud and being in each other's arms...Saras's hand on Kumud's kamar! (where is Twila?! We need flashback pics!!)
The first time they confess their love to one another! And then the happy cheerful Saras! Kumud turned his life around and their love towards one another is so pure! We believe in samud and all because of Gautam and Jenny. Not one individual can be given credit solely, it is Jenam who have made our samud. Both efforts from both actors have been 200% when its come to one another.
Many emotional scenes too which we will never ever forget and which for me have gone down in history! Kumud breaking down after Saras dumps her. Jenny was flawless here. The way she becomes a zinda laash...it was heart wrenching to see but acting was beats the likes of many top Bollywood actresses.
The marriage to Pramaad..how she had accepted it and just kept carrying on trying to forget Saras and then his re entry. The scene where the pillar falls on Kumud and how he saves her. The way they look at each other...how can one ever forget their pain. Kumud wanting to take the pillar off him yet helpless.
Saras staying with Kumud like her shadow! For me, the pramaad phase was just as good as the first phase of the story. Their pain, Kumud's hatred' towards Saras..all justified.
Then came the day when she comes to know what actually happened and that he did come for her...The way she breaks down.
Ofcourse, we need to also mention Anshul as Pramaad! He has been brilliant! A baddie I will never forget!
Then the fire scene...how they gaze into each others eyes (for me all these scenes is what made samud...its what I love about a romantic show..it doesn't have to be grossly physical as romance is definitely an emotional connection, a chemistry that is in the air and Gautam and Jenny have this..They can be there staring into each other's eyes all day long and my heart would keep doing a 1000 somersaults all day long!)
Once Pramaad track was over then we saw something we all absolutely despised! Kusum falling for Saras. Even now I cant make sense of this track but that too brought us some beautiful memorable moments.
Kumud begging Saras to marry Kusum and his shock at that. The way he lets go of her, the way he comes close to her. I have no words for Gautam and his acting. He is a superstar and he excels in emotional scenes...In every genre infact! This show well and truly belongs to him. He has been phenomenal!
Kumud's decision made us hate her almost! We could not understand how she could easily give up on Saras.
But yet the moment when she gets lost in his touch and how she touches his face! That was sensational!
And then the marriage' of Saras and Kusum...the way Kumud breaks down...Jenny nailed it once again! So where I say Gautam is a superstar...The best part of this show is that Jenny is in the same category of acting as Gautam..both are on par so together it has always come across magnamanous! Larger than life!
Then their own wedding! That was beautiful! The way they looked at one another in the pheras and Kumud's tear...everything perfect. Again...Gautam and Jenny completely flawless, completely convincing and completely full of chemistry. There will really be no other like Jenam.Ever.
Ofcourse along the way we must not forget the powerful performances of the Varun (Danny) and the actor who plays Dugbaa!
With Danny we got the best brother Jodi there could ever be! I just love Saras and Danny and their love for each other.
Grateful to the CVs that they showed an important focus on the two brothers (Kabir never got that and I am glad as its always going to be Saras-Danny all the way!)
Their fight was much needed as the make up was mindblowing!
Then came the London track..which for me was ok but again had it not happened we wouldn't have got that tight, kaske amaaazing awesome hug of Samud! These moments which make all our moaning meaningless! Atleast for me.
Then the Mumbai track...That's when it really went downhill but again we got some beautiful moments in their little flat together of Samud looking up at the stars together and their little dance. All these little beautiful moments...spreading magic and joy and making us love samud more and more as the days went by.
Then we hear the devastating news that they are going to kill off Saras...boy, that was a bad phase...not sure even now how true it was but relieved that it did not happen. The story that followed was pretty bakwaas but anyhow in the end of it all we got many cute hugs, cute moments of samud. That's all I will always remember!
And Kumud being pregnant! Again...Gautam and Jenny were brilliant! Such real expressions! How they act with so much conviction is beyond me! I guess that's what you call real talent! They are well and truly blessed in every way and I am thankful to SLB for casting Gautam and Jenny as Saras and Kumud. This combination needed to happen. Such actors needed to come together and come alive and create magic, miracles onscreen!
The journey of Saras..in a true sense it has always been about him and I am happy about that.
