How are you all doing? 🤗 I'm away for some days because I still have my mock exams for two weeks and then I'll be having holidays for three weeks 😛 Now do wish me luck 😉
But what I really wanted to share with you guys... Finally, the most awaited event of my life... Most of you must have known how I was excited about seeing Hemachandra and his sister Hemabindoo performing live on television for the first time in Mauritius. I had so many expectations out of it and I am not the least disappointed.
Actually, the national broadcasting channel of Mauritius (Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation) had organised a telegu competition – Okamaata Okapaata and today, on Saturday 07/07/07, we had the finals. Guest artists Hemachandra Vedela and his sister Hemabindoo were invited from Hydrabad, India. Now imagine, if it is the finals of a singing competition, I expected only two to three songs from Hemachndra but it was non-stop entertainment for almost two hours full 😛 Though he was accompanied by his sister, as usual it seems as though I was seeing only him 😍 😍 ... The finals of Okamaata Okapaata looked more like the concert of Hemachndra. 😳
I had the best night of my life ever though... Those were really mind-blowing performances by both Hemachandra and Hemabindoo.
He first sung telegu songs. I don't know telegu but music is universal and I really enjoyed them. I think he had sung a track in the movie "Boss". Sommething like this... Then came songs from the days of Challenge 2005. 'Ramta Jogi' and 'Nahin Samne'... only one word to describe: excellent. 😳 Brought back memories down the lane of life and the regrets too 😭 Why hadn't Hemachandra won the Challenge? Well, that is far away now and guess he has moved on in life and he has only grown bigger. That's why the MBC invited him... The most rocking item songs came afterwards. He sung the song from the movie Don "Duniya mein logon ko" while he stood among the audience. And then moved on stage continued with "Chand sifarish" from Fanaa. Sung another song from the telegu film Gajamini... He remebered his mentor Aadesh Srivastav and thanked him for having given him his first break with the song Alag. Sang that again with perfection 😳
Then Hemabindoo came and sang many songs too. Just I don't remember all of them. She sang one of the songs from Challenge 2005 too. That was a song from "Kyun hogaya naa." At this point, Hemachandra talks about his sister when they were in Saregama C2005. He asks the audience: Do you rember how I had cried when my sister got out in the Final 16 in C2005. So sweet They sang duets too. The public was very reactive and kept singing with both Hemachandra and Hemabindoo. They kept asking for more. One of the songs that both of sang was "Where's the party tonight" from Kabhi Alvida naa Kehna... That was really rocking with everyone dancing in the background. But it had to end ... The host came back and thanked them. Called all the sponsors and participants on stage and the results were announced. Hemachandra again consoling all the participants who had lost, telling them that this is only their first step towards success. He was also third in C2005 but has got many offers since. So the show ends here with everyone singing the song "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom" Of course, my Hemachndra was in front... 😳
Note: Hemachandra was looking so handsome and killed me once again today😆😳.Whenever he puts on his pink shirt, I faint.. I have always claimed to be his girlfriend but I'm sure when I'll be back to school everyone will snatch him 😡 😭 But he was mine and will always be mine...
