Since he broke up with Deepika. Otherwise I wouldn't have even noticed him after the craps called Saawariya and BAH.

Only one thing i know about this actor is he still need top director/actress to mke his movie hit! He has zero starpower n is here becoz of his surname!

Some truth to your views, but Ranbir Kapoor is a fine actor.

The hype as the most amazing actor is only in the forum 😆. He is good but not some iconic actor this forum projects him to be.

I find Irfan, Nawazuddin, Ranveer and others equally good in their roles.

Ranbir is a natural actor (in his genes), some roles he pulls off like noone, but definitely not a versatile one. He hasn't gone out of his comfort zone. When he went out, the movie has flopped.

But the guy hasn't hyped himself, it's the media. He seems down to earth and in every interview, he has repeated he is learning the craft more and more and dismisses comparisons with veteran actors.

If he manages to pull off herapheri, company, periodic dramas, superhero and all sorts of different movies convincingly, i will definitely put him at the top.
Right now, nobody even knows what his range is!. Hopefully he will show us how good he is in coming years...and for that, he has to start signing different genres and other directors except Ayan and Imtiaz

😆 there was no double meaning to my words...I just meant that he did become more famous after the breakup and his relationship with Katrina got him attention from Katrina fans and hate from Deepika fans..It's a bit like the Salman Khan fans supporting Katrina at the beginning when they were together...BUT I do remember the press and media not annoying Ranbir when he was with Deepika...it's like they were cool about it...
