i think I was abt 12 - grade 7 I think.. I love eating pasta more than rice and considering how much rice is a normal dish at home it drove mom mad to make pasta for me everytime other than for cooking rice for every1 else. So she ended up teaching me..
And it actually turned out fine as mom was supervising..

I remember i got the quantity I wanted on to a plate and then boiled water (with mom supervising of course) and then I put the pasta in to it and sat waiting till it cooked.. added salt..to the water..
n after that mom took it out and strained it for me n washed it with cold water.. she didn't let me touch the boiled water..
then I fried sausages, made scrambled eggs (these i had made for a few months by then) and tempered it and added mayonnaise and cheese...
that came out as it was supposed to lol.. kitchen was a little messy but it was pretty good..

But haha the difference is even at so many yrs later that is all I can actually cook!! 🤣 I mean i know how to keep a rice in the stove n make a dhal curry and a salad.. make cakes and puddings.. but that is it!! 😆

I still don't like rice n prepare my own pasta till date..only difference is now I add vegetables which i didn't do when i was younger..
though my cut vegetables r not always very nice looking.. but they r very tasty so that is all that matters!! 😛😆

Hey sunara honey🤗. Missed u around. Seems like AD is a bit stressful for you these days
Wow making pasta even under the direct supervision of your mom at 12 years is like great. I made my first dish when I was 17. So u are much better and u have given a detailed process of how u did it. That is nice. So u dont like rice. Hmm. But u know to cook and that is all that matters.
We actually dont bother about how the cut veggies look as long as the end product is tasty. Glad to see your post. Do drop by when u can and send me some pasta. Would love to taste it😉

But fun it was.
Your shape of roti's remind me of Myrah😆. What countries did the shapes represent? Rajashtan / england? But as long as the food was tasty no complaints😳

it was not countries but continents 😆

I was 8 when i made something first time ever 😆
I made "Cheese egg bread fried rolls"

Well obviously my mom fried the roles but the rest of the work was done by me 😳

My daddy gave me Rs.500 for that 😆
