Is Airlines based on Pan Am US tele-series

Its on Pan American Airways, and it features the life n happenings of pilots and stewardesses in around airline with dirty secrets too...

The concept might be the same but the comparison can not be made. That series was based on the yester-years of flying and had a particularly American flavor to it because of Pan Am.

Airlines is coming off as a drama series with limited focus in story and theme while not maintain any factual accuracy. Could it be Pan Am is where they got the inspiration? Yes. Is it a direct comparison or similar offering? Not a chance.
