That's taking it too far. I have lots of sympathy for Rehaan but he, in his own words, has said that he sometimes tolerates Aahil for Begum Sahiba's sake. To call him the "one and only person who cares about him, unselfishly" is somewhat a stretch.

Also, an unselfish well-wisher would perhaps drop, even anonymously, some hint to the well-wishee about impending doom if he has knowledge of it. Just because he hates his mother's manipulations and machinations and does not want to be a part of her schemes, does not mean that it's okay for him to be a bystander and let the destruction of the Ibrahim family happen.

Rehaan is a good guy caught between his conscience and his loyalty. Perhaps being away from Bhopal will also bring forth a latent courage to reveal some truths when Tanveer starts wreaking havoc in everyone's lives.

@sageflower: Lovely post, as always. The Ashq Na Ho sequence was beautiful. 4 lions always pick the most fantastic song accompaniments.

I liked your take.

I really do believe Aahil has nobody around who cares about him. Everybody has an agenda , apart from Rehan and Sanam. I do not think Rehan has any malicious intention towards Aahil or intends to cause him any harm. I feel like his judgment is cloudy and Yes he is not vocal about his Ammi, but he does not consider her his own.
I meant to say Aahil's timing was really bad, the only ally he had who knew of the property plan was Rehan. And because they are distracted by Sanam, and they need space. Rehan will not intervene in the property papers. Aahil , just set himself up for a fall.

I had the impression that even if she kicked Aahil out he would have his company and his own money from his business. How did Tanveer manage to convince that lawyer (who appeared to be a good guy) to cheat a man of his wealth?

yes, it was transferable to Aahil after his marriage. He still has to sign it over to her... the way she was celebrating it was as though she had both papers drawn up and was going to force Aahil to sign them both in the sly.

Yes, I thought that too, that he would have his own money, as he said once he doesn't need the Nawab Inheritance and he can take care of all with his own earnings. I always thought it would be all the Nawab wealth, which is far more than Aahil's.

Her referring to all in the mansion could be just that the mansion would come under her name, so kicking Aahil out would mean he is in a state of shock anyway to make claims on things. Even then, we don't know what was bought with what money. There may have been increments of upkeep and spending money all these years.

I didn't realize she now implied Aahil's own Company and money as well. May have to go back and watch. I would understand maybe if she said it after Rehan left, because there she would be lashing out at Aahil for using his position that way. But I'm guessing this was her phone call in the beginning of the episode?

@bold, that's not exactly what he said. He after putting away the expensive watch Aahil gave him said he is indebted to Begum Sahiba for the biggest gift he has gotten in his life, and has promised her that he would be like a shadow to Aahil. And...Saaye ko saath rehne ke liye kisi naam ki zaroorat nahin. I can see how it can be interpreted the other way as well, but I never saw it as him doing it in a cross manner towards Aahil. Yes, this means he had loyalty to both Tanveer and Aahil, but he didn't say it in the way that he only tolerates Aahil due to Tanveer. He was smiling when he said that last line.

Agreed that Rehan is caught in the middle and he is staying out of it rather than trying to do something. But he has always genuinely cared for Aahil and not due to Tanveer.
