By mommy roles, I don't mean playing mommy to a 5-8 year old (like Madhuri in Aaja Nachle), but to teenagers, like Sri Devi did in English Vinglish. I am talking about proper mother roles (Hema in Baghban, Rakhee in Karan Arjun etc.)

I heard Madhuri didn't do Dil Dhadakne Do cause she was to play mother. Can you see her play mum to Sonam Kapoor? or Aishwaria playing mother to Alia Bhatt? What say?

And how would you react if something like this happens? What if they come with a strong mother-daughter story, would you be happy seeing someone like Karishma Kapoor play mother to Parineeti Chopra? :O

Get ready for this in the next 5 years! 😃

Edit: It is not because these girls are no more beautiful. It's about who should take the transition and if we are ready for it.

Sridevi is 50 plus. Aish kajol ect are hardly 40! There is a difference. When aish kajol karishma ect can give competition to new lot heroines then why the hell will they play mothers roles?

And mother to Parineeti wow. Quite shocking!

I think Madhuri should now be ready to play mother as there are several mother-daughter stories she can do justice to.

Sush and Aish are still stunning, doubt they're gonna make the transition anytime soon. They wouldn't even look the part.

Well why not? Aish is 40, Alia is 21... why can't she play mother to her, if the role is strong enough? Kajol actually did it in We Are Family, her children were not very young!

I agree not only aish Sush but kajol karishma looks stunning too. All the 90s heroines can give competition to new heroines. That's my opinion.

Too many people have issues with 40 year old actors being cast opposite 22-23 year old girls. Why can't 40 year old actresses play mother to such girls?

Madz was offered Baghban, it was too early back then but I feel now she is ready to take on such roles. That was a mommy role, but a very strong lead character.
