,, Aastha I just finished my work. What about a candle light dinner with your favorite Pani Puri as a dessert?" Shlok walked in asking and saw Aastha lying on the floor unconscious.
,;AASTHA!" He screamed and picked her up while putting her gently on the bed. He gave her some water the moment she woke up.
,,Aastha Meri Jaan Are you fine? Kya Hua?"
,,Shlok..." Aastha began crying loudly and hugged him tightly.
He embraced his trembling wife not knowing what was wrong with her. Was she hurt? Did she have any pain? Caressing her back he looked her in the eyes and said: ,, Aastha tell me what happened!"
Aastha didn't know how to start how to tell him what could have happened.
He wouldn't believe her anyway, so why telling him? Seeing his concern Aastha finally decided to tell him about his Father and how he started threating her- her and her baby.
,, Shlok your Father he came in and he threatened me ... I am so afraid...I still don't know what happened. Shlok.." her voice broke and she began crying again. Shlok was angry and confused at the same time.
Didn't Aastha learn from her mistakes ever?, he thought.
He left her and looked at her in disbelief and felt the anger rising in him.
,, How dare you accuse my father like this? I told you to never say a word against him. I can't tolerate anyone saying something against him."Aastha stood up and walked around. She couldn't stay calm anymore everything had changed. She didn't want to be quiet or did not want shlok to yell at her or to scold her.
,, I am saying the truth. Why don't you listen to me for once= did I ever lie to you? I was always right! Remember Jyoti? I told you she was abused but you did not believe me till I showed you a prove. Why do I always have to prove something Shlok. That is not a sign for a healthy relationship , isn't it". Aastha looked at him and tried leaving the room; Shlok stopped her and turned her around. She did not want to fight but it looked like tonight there would not be love but hate.
The instant he turned her around she realized he wanted to fight, wanted to say what he thought without caring whether she wanted it too.
,,How would you feel Mrs. Knows it all when some would accuse your Father the way you are doing it with mine? Don't you feel ashamed?"
Aastha's eyes widened in shock and she jerked his hands away.
,, I would try to listen and I would believe you till the day you would be proved wrong. I would never fight with your for that,. I have seen your Father beating your mother blue and I will prove it to you. But it won't be me who will feel the strongest pain it will be you." Shlok turned away and tried to calm his breathing.
,, Aastha..." he started but she did not let him finish.
,, Listen... I am very tired. Fainting twice a day is not good for me or my child so I will just take a bath and then will go to bed. You are free to do what you want."Shlok felt suffocated and left the room saying: ,, I never wanted to fight you know I don't like fighting with you. I am very angry right know so I will drink something." And with that he left her behind.
Aastha went inside the bathroom and got undressed. She examined her stomach for a while and smiled seeing that she was getting thicker day by day. She was happy that she was finally pregnant again because after her accident it did not look like she would ever be able to concive again. She was lucky.
,, My little one don't be sad your daddy and i often fight. That doesn't mean he doesn not love your mommy it is just that he loves his daddy more. I love you more than anything my baby." With tears in her eyes Aastha sat inside the bathtube and just enjoyed the warm water. Her eyes closed automatically and she started the radio to listen to some music she liked.
,, I am sorry I didn't wabt to yell at you." Aastha opend her eyes and felt Shlok before she saw him. He sat behind her in the tube and she leaned against him. His hands caressed her abdomen and her arms. She felt safe and secure.
,, I am sorry too but still can't you at least try listen to what I have to tell you? Will you do that for our baby?".
Shlok sighed and kissed her neck. She shiverd in need and whisperd his Name.
,, I will try but... I will need some time..Is that okay with you?"
Aastha turned around;her naked self brushing against his. Shlok immediately responded with a passionate kiss.
He was tired of fighting and he did not want her to sleep somewhere else again. SHe belonged in his arms, on the bed.
Her hands snaked around his neck and she kissed his eyelids and his Nose.. She knew he was afraid she would decide to stay away from him to prove her point.
,, Let's just go to bed ok?" he said and carried her out of the bathroom. He dressed her into a simple night dress and dried her hair with a towel. Aastha felt happiness and could not stop her eyes from getting all teary. Both of them laid down on the Bed and feel asleep pretty fast.
