It was a great day of celebration for Akbar's family. It is said that lakhs of rupees were spent on festivities which lasted many days. And lakhs in those days means tens of Crores in today's currency, maybe a lot more.
Even today if you go to Fatehpur Sikri, there are people there who can recount every little detail of the festivities as if it all happened yesterday, of how Tansen composed special ragas, special music sessions, poetry, dance, lighting and a lot more.
That day really became a legend in itself.
