Dev being a Goenka is biggest flaw in Durga's alliance with him.

My personal dislike for Dev aside, there are very pertinent issues in DevGa marriage:

- Shaurya is obsessed with Durga and already tried to kill Dev over her. Will he ever let Durga life in peace with Dev in any part of the world? No way!

- Sakshi and Rajnath are still family. They can come after this couple. They can turn Suchitra against Durga by claiming she caused rift between brothers by two timing them.

- If her identity is out then no one can help Durga. Not even Dev. It's the easiest thing to convince Suchitra also that Nitya is again trying to harm the family. Suchitra will then create trouble with maa, ghar ki izzat and dead baap emotional blackmail.

- Shaurya can easily try to rape even his bhabhi. No big deal for such feudal families to do such things.

- Payal will be constantly in danger if Durga marries into Goenka family. Any brother! They tracked her down even as special patient. Won't they track down a rishtedaar?

- Durga can very much be jailed for faking identity and for spying. It is a piece of cake for Goenkas to get others jailed.

- Rajnath currently doesn't take Durga seriously. But if he observes her firsthand then it is bigger trouble. Trust me he is worse than Sakshi.

y do u think raj is worse than sakshi...i always feel he is dependent on his wife to deal with all complications...he is no doubt equally evil minded but he is not as shrewd as sakshi...yes he can read sakshi's mind and can understand that sakshi always has ulterior motives behind everything she does...but raj is more business minded...like he is ok as long as the cancer project is undisturbed...for instance that durga is here to destroy the goenkas sakshi sensed that long long back and is doing everything to stop her...but raj has no such instincts...till date he does not believe that durga is here to harm them...so my question is a man with no instincts and no care about anything except business do u really think he can be as dangerous or as u say more dangerous than sakshi...he is hving affair with raima but he is always scared of getting caught although i admit he has some guts to hv affair with sakshi's best friend...durga once said raj cud romance any woman but he chose raima...so i guess there is something fishy there...even raima is scared of sakshi but she chose to romance her husband...
so wat makes u think raj is more dangerous than sakshi...did i miss anything...i hv tried to watch all epis but i guess i missed some 2-3 epis some time...

- Dev might be a good guy but even best of guys struggle to balance between wife and mother. If Suchitra thinks Durga is trouble then husband and wife might have a rift.

- Dev doesn't know how Durga wants to destroy Goenkas. Will he support her plans of destruction without bothering about family name? I don't think so. He might agree on Shaurya but will not agree on expose of RajMa affair and stuff like that.

i agree dev may not want to go against his own family with rajma affair...but i think wen he will learn that it is shaurya who raped payal then i dont think he will hesitate to support durga fully...secondly i hv a feeling arnav was killed by sakshi/rajnath...if so then dev can go to any extent (just like durga) to destroy the goenka trio...after all noone can be more dear to him than his own dad...

- If Goenka clan could kill or make Arnab disappear then it is equally a cakewalk to wipe off Dev D. Dev is just a sitting duck. Rather a liability as Durga still struggles to protect him.

IMO, Durga needs to partner with a neutral, outsider guy who understands her and has no strings attached and has no chance of getting affected by what happens to Goenkas.

i hv a few confusions...writing those in bold...can u pls clarify...

cvs made durga,dayal,dev dumb characters as in typical soaps d good ppl dumb n win over villains in dumb ways.

Rajnath is what you call a chhupa rustam.

He has way more mastery over self deception than Sakshi or Shaurya.

He had a hand in wiping off Arnab. I am sure.

He uses emotional blackmail very skilfully unlike Sakshi. See him in scenes when he EBed Dev each time.

Nobody knew he was having an affair. He did it for so long!

And he very cleverly trapped Shaurya, didn't hesitate to blackmail his own son to cover up his affair.

He doesn't want Durga away not only due to the deal but also because he wants son to win the bet. He was telling importance of that bet to Sakshi. He was laughing when he told Shaurya tactics to bed girls without getting in trouble.

The manipulations with minister, principal and other higher placed people is done by him. Not Sakshi.

He is slow to sense danger in advance but he is quick and ruthless once danger is detected.

Who knew he was also using Raima to drop ideas in Sakshi's head and to keep him updated on her actions?

I believe he is the guy who is slowly unravelling himself. There is more to him than what meets the eye. There is a lot about him that was slowly revealed till now. And there will be more as well in future I believe.

Sakshi handles small time goons. He handles big fish be it CBI or media.

He has promised Sakshi to do anything she wanted with Thakurs once he took the deal to point of no return.

Sakshi looks worse because she is taking it seriously. The day Rajnath takes Thakurs as a threat, seriously, I bet there will be a difference.

Dev might support against Shaurya but I doubt if he will be okay with total Goenka destruction that Durga wants. Anyway, whether he supports or not it doesn't matter because he has no efficacy at all.

thanx for explaining...yes now that i recall all that raj has done i think he is more than has been revealed...as for dev i know i cant count him as a substantial character anymore...but if not for payal he will surely want to avenge his dad's death...its true he has no efficacy but then he will join hands with durga...
