Jalal is willing to run the risk of any and all dangers. Atgah alive is more precious to him than his own life. I suppose this was also one soldier talking to another. Only this time, it was a final salute.
And how can I gloss over Javeda's loyalty and bravery. Without a second thought she did what she had to to protect the Shahenshah. I have always liked her and suspected that she was sharper than many in the harem.
Now Jalal, who has been on high alert right through the Maham Anga-Atifa plot,shows a curious disregard for danger. He tells Man Singh, Aziz and Munim Khan to find out the extent of the coup in Agra. Then he goes to have a much needed rest. Is it that he knows it's Adham and is waiting for a final showdown with him. Maham Anga also knows only too well, what is about to happen and tries to find a way to warn Jalal. Adham has some soldiers defect to his side and he storms the fort with devastating results. Atgah is the final wall of defence that Adham comes to kill. The one who stands between Adham and the throne. But of course, Jalal also stands between Adham and the throne, just as destiny has decreed from the start.
