Part 2

"What is your problem, Amma?" Khushi asked. She was angry, annoyed, irritated. These emotions sips inside very rarely, but when it does, it DOES!

"My problem is, you want to marry a man who is 16 years elder to you." Garima Gupta looked at Devi Maiya's idol in the open Mandir of her house. "16 years?" her expression exasperated.

"So? Kareena also married Saif, who is 10 year elder to her. That time I didn't heard a single opposing word. You seemed to enjoy every single news about them." Khushi turned towards the fridge, very well knowing that the point she had made was silly, but she is Khushi Gupta. She HAS to say something.

"What?" Garima Gupta stared at her daughter's back, the stare which soon transformed into a glare. "What do you mean by this? Why should I care whom Kareena marries and whom Katrina marries? I have a stupid daughter like you to worry. Why should I worry about them?" Garima pulled a chair at the dining table and sat, too tired with hours of arguing with her stubborn daughter.

"See, Amma. I love him, he loves me. What more do you want?" Khushi pulled a chair in front of her mother and sat. Time for some serious talk, no kareena, no Katrina.

"What more do I want?" Garima clutched her hammering head. "See Khushi, I want a good, honest man, not some Richie rich. I want a man, whom I can trust. And knowing his history ..."

"Amma, you don't know anything about him. Don't believe what people say about him, he is nothing like that. You want a good and a honest man, right? He IS a good and a honest man, Amma. And if he is rich, that doesn't makes him any less good or honest. "

"Khushi, he ... He is a divorcee,... He has a 13 year old Son. Is these all bogus? Everyone knows these. How can you love a man like him?" Garima asked, too scared for her daughter's future.

"Amma, what do you mean by divorcee. You sound as if being a divorcee is some crime. And yes, he has a son. So what?" Her young mind and infant love was unable to understand what the experienced and old lady was making her understand.

"Khushi, for us marriage is not a month of a yearlong thing. For us marriage is a lifelong thing. " The afraid mother spoke.

"And who the hell told you I will be marrying him for a month or a year?" Khushi asked, agitated.

"His past record speaks for him" Garima retorted.

"You are sounding as if he marries every month, Amma. Unbelievable!" Khushi got up from her chair, too offended by her mother.

Garima too stood up .

"See, Khushi, all I am telling you is, people are not like what you think. If they talk with you sweetly, you think they are very good people. If someone is harsh on you, you think that someone is bad. But it's not like that."

"Exactly, exactly, Amma! He is neither sweet nor harsh. He is a GOOD person. A very very good man. He is nothing like you see on TV or read in your stupid gossip columns. I have seen him, I know him, I love him and now I want to marry him. You have told me, its upto me, when I want to marry, whom I want to marry. You can't go back on your words." Khushi reminded her mother of her promise.

"Yes, I have told that. But that doesn't mean you will bring anyone and will agree."

"He is not 'anyone'. He is Arnav Singh Raizada, my first and last love. I love him and now I want to marry him. "

Garima again clutched her head and slumped on the chair.

"I don't know how to make you understand, I don't know." She again lifted her head to look at her daughter. "What about his Son, Khushi? What's the age difference between you and him? 11?"

"What about him? It's upto him. If he wants a mother-son relationship so be it. And if he wants me to be only his friend so be it again. " Khushi shrugged her shoulder.

"Do NOT shrug your shoulder." Garima again stood up, making Khushi take few steps back. "These things are not to be taken casually. What if he don't want you to be his mother nor his friend? What will you do then? What if he thinks of you just as his father's wife? What if he refuse to accept you in your life? What will you do then? What if he hates you for taking his Mother's place?"

"Amma, he was just two years old when his mother left him. Why will he hate me? It's not like I am the second woman in his father's marriage. Arnav ji was single when I met him." Khushi took steps towards her mother and took her hand in her. "Please stop worrying, Amma. I will love Aryan like my own child, then why are you worrying about that? Don't you trust me with that? And Arnav ji loves me. Please trust me? He will never leave me. " Catching her mother's shoulder, she made him sit on the chair and knelt before her. "Amma, don't worry. I will call him, you meet him. I am sure you will like him. "

"What if I don't?" Garima looked in her daughter's eyes.

"You will." came her confident reply. "You will like him, Amma. I am sure. You go and prepare for dinner, I will call him over dinner. Is that ok with you?"

Garima had no choice but to agree with her daughter.

"Arnav ji..." her sweet voice traveled the other side, making him lean back in his chair with a sigh. Serenity washed over him as he closed his eyes and absorbed her cheerful voice. She has become a need for him!

"Are you listening, Arnav ji?" Khushi asked doubtfully.

Arnav hummed in reply, his eyes still close.

"When will you leave your office today?" Khushi asked as she entered her car and closed the door. Connecting his call to the Bluetooth, she fixed it on her ear and started the ignition.

"Around 5. Why?" Arnav asked, sitting straight.

"Ok, I will leave college by 4 and then will come to meet you. I have a surprise for you.." Khushi giggled, knowing very well the surprise will be nothing pleasant for him.

"Ok, will be waiting." Arnav said.

"Ok, bye. Take care. Take your meds on time. Love you."

"Bye.." with a small smile blooming on his lips, he disconnected the call.

Khushi slumped on her allotted chair with an exhausted sigh, making few heads turn towards her. Passing a awkward smile, she sat straight on her chair. She is a social person, but at times like this, when she is not allowed to be herself, privacy is all she wants. She peered at her wrist watch and smiled. Just 15 minutes and she will be free. Today was her first day as a lecturer and after a casual introduction with other staffs, she had left for her class. Today being the first day, she was busy and nervous too. She rested her elbow on the desk in front of her. She hoped Arnav ji had his lunch and meds on time. Having a lecture just after the lunch, she was busy double checking her presentation. And thus getting no time for her lunch as well as to call Arnav ji and ask about his.

Arnav heard a soft knock and lifted his eyes from the file.

"May I come in, Sir?" before the chiming voice can reach his ears, she was right before his desk.

"Sir, if your work is over, then can we leave?" Khushi asked, her lips in a straight line, but her eyes smiling. Her beautiful red anarkali making her look like a Goddess.

Arnav kept the file on the desk and got up.

"Yes, we can. But may I ask you, where are we going?"

Khushi walked across the desk and coiled her hand around his strong arm.

"To your place." Khushi smiled.

Arnav's head jerked towards her.

"What?"

"What , what? We are going to your place. I want to select a suit for you, because you are going to meet my Amma. And I want to show her that you are the best."

"Khushi..? What is all these? Why should I meet your Amma?"

"Uffo Arnav ji. Yesterday you agreed for marriage. Today I told Amma about you and me. And now she wants to meet you. I know I had said it's a surprise, but you don't have to be really surprised. It's a normal thing. When a girl wants to marry a boy, her parents meet that boy and vice versa."

"Yes, they meet a boy, not a grumpy old man."

"Hey Devi Maiya!" Khushi left his arm and stood in front of him, her hands on her slender hips.

"Devi Maiya ki Kasam agar aap ne ye phir se kaha toh ... toh hum ... hum ... " Khushi looked for some solid point. "Then ...then I will bang MY head somewhere. Understood?" She glared at Arnav ji.

"You banging your head and glaring will change nothing, Khushi." Arnav stated.

Khushi's shoulder slumped. She can fight the whole world for him, but how to fight against him?

Walking towards him, she dragged him towards a glass window.

"Look in this window, Arnav ji." she made him look at the glass window. "What do you see there?" Khushi asked, titling her head up to look at him. She stared in his caramel liquid. "All I can see is my prince. A prince I had heard in fairy tales. A prince I had wished for. It doesn't matter what others say, but please, can you quit saying this? It doesn't hurts when others say, but it hurts when you say. It feels, like others, you too think we should not be together. I love you. Your age and your past doesn't matter. I love you, that's all I know... Please?"

Arnav lifted his hand to brush away the single tear that rolled down her alabaster cheek.

"I am sorry..." Bending down, he kissed her lips. "I don't want to hurt you. Never. But it happens and I am left with no explanation. I don't remember you hurting me in anyway, but I have hurt you countless time. I am sorry , Khushi..." Arnav cupped her face and made her look up at him. "I will not repeat again, I am sorry. And anyways, when I am with you I hardly feel like a grumpy man."

Khushi giggled and hugged him.

"You are not good with jokes, you should stop trying." Pulling away from the hug, she looked at him. "You are my Salman Khan.." Khushi laughed seeing the sudden cringe on his face.

"He looks older than me, Khushi."

Khushi again coiled her hand around his arm and started towards the door.

"And that makes you feel better, isn't it?"

Arnav tilted his head down and kissed her hair.

"If you say so..."

Khushi entered the house with Arnav ji beside her. Her big eyes looked around the house, which looked more like a castle. Its been two years she is with Arnav ji and he had never bothered to show his place, for reasons better known to him.

"Your house is so big, Arnav ji...so beautiful ... So giant ... You are really a prince..."

Prince? Arnav looked at her. He doesn't feel like a prince when he enters his office, intimidating everyone with his presence. He doesn't feel like a prince when he enters his so called BIG mansion. He doesn't feel like a prince when he gets a royal treatment by everyone.

He looked at Khushi's smiling face, trying to absorb every tiny detail of her surrounding.

But he does feel like a prince when he is with her. Khushi's prince. He don't know if he is her prince, but everytime he is with her, she manages to make him feel like a prince.

"Arnav ji, show me your room please. I want to see your room. "

Her voice broke his reverie and he nodded his head.

"My room is on second floor. "

"Arnav ji, are you serious?" she turned her head towards him. After walking through two long corridors, they have still not reached his room. "You call this your house? This is palace, bigger than any palace. What you do here? In this big house?" Khushi asked, totally astonished after seeing the long running corridors with antique paintings hung on the wall.

Arnav choose not to reply her and came to an halt in front of a room.

"Is this your room?" Khushi asked staring at the closed door.

Arnav nodded his head and pushed opened the door. Taking Khushi's hand , he entered his room.

"Liked it?" Arnav asked.

Khushi shifted her gaze at Arnav ji.

"You know what, Arnav ji. This .. This ..." She gave a look to her dull surrounding. "This looks like your room. Dull colors, like your clothes. Somber like your face. Dark like your personality. This IS Arnav Singh Raizada's room"

Arnav caught her hands and pulled her in his arms.

"You can change the things as per your liking, Khushi. I don't have any issues." Arnav breathed in her hair, his hands tightening around her tiny waist. His lips moved to her neck.

Khushi buried her face in the crook of his neck, his unique cologne intoxicating her. Her fingers drifted in his hair, thick and silky. Her head lulled back, giving more expanse of her skin.

Arnav left feather kisses on her slender neck, making his way towards her full, sensuous lips, which alone held the power to wither him in need. As her duppatta went off, his lips moved on hers. Opening his fisted palm at the nape of her neck, he pulled her more closer, her chest colliding with his, making him moan in her mouth. He devoured her sweetness.

Khushi ran her fingers on his fabric clad back, wanting to touch more of him, but his expensive suit restraining her. Her hands returned in his hair, pushing him more against her. She felt Arnav ji's finger fighting with her dori and her drugged eyes opened. She looked at the opened door and her hands traveled to his shoulder to pull away.

"Arnav ji, ... Door... door is open .." Khushi said, breathless.

Arnav again pulled her in his arms, not really bothering to reply.

"Arnav ji?"

"No one comes here, Khushi ... You can keep your precious mouth shut.." and with one single pull, he opened the dori at her back.

And Khushi pushed him.

"Besharam Arnav Singh Raizada.." Khushi narrowed her eyes at him. "What do you mean by that? Amma will be waiting and you need to get ready, not tell me to shut my precious mouth. "

Arnavs hands again lifted to pull her close, but she moved back. Taking a step forward, he again tried, but she again moved back.

"Khushi?" Arnav warned.

Khushi giggled and ran past him, making a run out of the room.

"Khushi!" Taking her dupatta which lay at his feet, he ran behind her.

"Khushi!"

Her giggling sound reverberated in the corridor as she ran, making her anarkali dress fly behind her.

"Khushi wait!" He ran behind her.

"You can't catch me ... oh ... Amma!" she collided with something but before she can fall, she steadied herself by catching the banister. She lifted her head to see the thing she collided with. It was not a thing. She immediately stood straight.

"I ..I am so.." her hand drifted in her hair, straightening it. As her nervous hand come on her shoulder, her eyes jerked toward her shoulder. Hey Devi Maiya. Her sleeve has shifted little low. With her trembling hand, she pulled the sleeve up and her bashful eyes took a peek at the boy standing in front of her.

"Khushi!"

Arnav stopped dead in his track. Shit! Cursing, he strode towards Khushi.

"Khushi?"

Khushi turned and with a speed of a light, she ran into his arms, throwing her arms around his neck.

"It's ok.." Taking her dupatta, he covered her back.

"Is he Aryan?" Khushi whispered, her voice shaky with all the running and nervousness.

"Yes. It's ok.. Come .." Arnav tried to pull away from the hug, but Khushi held tightly.

"Hey Devi Maiya! What will he think of me? This is not a good start. It's not ..it's not.." Khushi murmured against his neck.

Knowing she is not going to leave him, he bent down and picked her. Giving a look at his son, who was staring at Khushi, he turned around and started towards his room.

Aryan stared ahead till his father's figure disappeared from his sight.

"Shameless bitch!"

Letting out a royal curse, he turned towards his room, his basket ball bouncing between his palm and the white marbled floor.

Note--

I don't know why epilogue(s) take forever. But I promise to update soon. And as it was taking time, I thought of updating this.

Amy and Sarita, I swear to God, when I was thinking of this concept, RR was not even on my mind😆 But if you both think so, then let me tell you. Arnav is not a man pinning for his wife, Aryan is not a innocent kid craving for mother's love and Khushi is not any firangi who is on a mission. Rest assured😊

Hope you liked the update. Do share your views :)

Beautiful update Gudiya.
Her and her Amma's conversation about her love to whom she wants to marry.
Garmira is right if we put ourself in her place.
But at the same time you can't judge any person by how people talk about him/her.
Well khushi will make sure about it and will marry only her Arnavji.

"He does feel like a prince when he is with her. Khushi's prince."👏 😳 ( I Loved this line.)

I don't know how will she win over his son, I mean he hates her so much. Why? well there will be so many reasons and would love to read about Aryan. Why he acts like this a little rude and spoiled brat.😲

thanks for the pm,
love n hugs,
take care.

Excuse me
Did he just call khushi what I read
Yes he did
Wow this won't be easy
Not only resistance from his son
But also her amma
Well can blame neither
Seems as if they don't get it
But then how can they
This age difference they don't get
Her amma thinks its only infatuation
And well the less I say about his son better
Well you can't blame him for saying what he did
Khushi that's why you shouldn't have go running out
I don't think that its just physical between them
Hell no
But others don't know that
Hmmm dude if she doesn't mind you being old
Don't you dare bring that up
Of course she will feel bad if he says it
But this love of theirs won't be easy
Hell no man
