absolutely... its high time now.. ankita should switch over 2 other songs.. indian idol should b Versatile n not d one vd same kinda songs... she sang dat bhajan once n now shez again vd item songs...

I agree she is nto proving her versatality.. but i doubt judges will point it out anytime.. i think judges have made up their minds abt the singers..
No judge is completely fair.. personal liking does interfere..
Yesterday after smita sang I was waiting for javed ji's comments.. personally for me I thought his coments would be proof of whether or not he is completely fair bcos its no secret smita is one his favs... i am sorry I was very disppointed with him.. Smita very honestly was bad yesterday.. he commented before abt not cathcing the mood of song to otehr contestants.. and smita was singing such a happy song in such a sad tone..
I tihnk many might have liked smita's performance yesterday.. but today.. i was playing smita's song and swades song back to back.. and smita disppointed..

I dont expect anything.. but for some time.. and this is not to anyone in particular just genarally.. pls play richa's songs from II site and immediately after play the original and back again richa's..
I am not saying you will find her as good as original or better... Not at all..
But I feel In Every episode judges over do their criticism as far as richa is concerned.. immature voice is bcos of age.. there are other things to singing than that.. She has never been as bad as judges make her out to be..

I feel viewers are EXTREMELY influenced by other things in richa's case.. and judges have succeeded in convincign viewers that her slightly immature voice makes all her songs bad..

Comparatively, I've found her less versatile than some of the others. Yes Piya tose was a different and difficult attempt.

I agree, people are more concerned about what faces she makes and what she says rather than how she sang. Well, thats reality of such shows. I liked her performance today. It wasn't the best nor the worst. She picked an appropriate song, Piya bole. he didn't stick out like a sore thumb even with her not so immature voice. At least she sang in tune. Judges weren't that harsh with her today.

Everyone has their own preferences. For some sur is important. For others voice and/or tonal quality. For others, song choices and versatility. For some, performance and dancing skills. There are others who lack in some departments but because of their voice, they are pardoned.

Anyway, discussions on her giggling and expressions are getting boring now. There are at least half a dozen topics on it.

One can be a good singer and not necessarily be "versatile". Also, it depends on how we define versatile. Every singer has his or her own niche. their are certain songs which are better suited for Alka Yagnik's voice, others better suited for Sunidhi and yet some more better suited for Richa Sharma.

And sticking to one's comfort zones isn't always successful. Charu picked a song which many feel was an appropriate choice and suited her voice. But she couldn't pull it off.

Ironically, Alisha pointed it out in the piano rounds. Thats why Ankita came back and sang a bhajan in the WC round. 😉

I still think that a singer can be good and needn't be versatile. Last year Karunya was best in Sukhwinder songs. Ankita carries Sunidhi's songs well and I think she has long way to go if audience gives her chance. We will hear other genre too.

But we need ROTI in her house. 😆😆

yeah lets wait for other galas...lets see how she performs...

ppl also call her untrained..when dey know dey r talented enough n r trained.. y should dey b scared of ankita.. coz she has got dat amazin superb talent in her being an untrained singer while dey r not.. being untrained dats not her problem.. cum on ankita keep rockin n shockin ppl wid ur diff styles n performances.. .. rock da wrld..

I personally think Ankita is way overrated.
