Sur-Off-key-Dead singing : You decide

Anu Malik first said Deepali was off-key when everyone questioned him he changed his stand to dead singing. What does he want? A mom going beedi for her kid🤢? He also said he is not talking about sur but off-key😕.

We think that a MD knows better but it looked like he was totally out of sur not Deepali.

Deepali was definitely in sur and definitely not off key...but she definitely could have been slightly better in expressions in my opinion! 😛

Ashu, Doesn't that also depend upon the song? This was not a beedi number. Anu's reaction was extreme. Dead singing? I don't think so. He could have asked her to put a bit more energy. But he was so strong on her. Is it because of high expectations from her? Parleen was flat totally but not too much criticism. May be expectations are less from him.

I have watched only those two. Let me finish watching the rest. 😃.

i thought she was a lil flat when she was on the stairs after that the feel was stictly ok and sooo not dead as per anu. she may have not been superb but her singing was not dead either IMO. and i agree that one cannot have the feel of a beedi song in every song!

maya, i think deepali was good but this was definitely not her best performnce...she was in sur...but a spark was missing in her singing..the soul of the song was missing..thats what i felt.. 😊

n except deepali...i thought anu malik's comments were bang on target for every other contestant..

parleen...he was the worst today imo..he was screaming..not singing

yup i noticed that too...anuji said two different things to deepali...he himself wasnt sure about his own judgement...i didnt think deepali sang without feeling...i thought she did justice to that song...

Deepali was soSOOOO not dead in singing...the song is sung by a mother who has lost her son, I thought she caught the emotion beautiful... what was missing was the power in the song. Other than that, it was def. not off key or off sur !!!

Anu Malik was good 2day, I felt a bit too harsh though, he didn't give a good praise to any of the gals but all the guys got gud comments !!!
