I am an Indian and a very proud ...I say this often ...but what is it that makes me love my country ...some call it a land of snake charmers ...some say it dirty ...Some might as it a bhel puri with different religions and cultures ... For me it is the land I call home.

It is one the videos that was played numerous no of times when I was kid ...it is one of the best ...shows you India's beauty from the north to south...from fields in Punjab to Taj Mahal ...sung by famous ppl to ordinary mahout..or farmers ...in 14 different languages ...Hindi, Telugu, Gujarati, Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Odriya, Assamese and Marathi.

This is my country , this is my home ..This is India ...

Today and everyday ...go out and live for ur country ...spread a smile , lil joy ...

The Joy ...the Happiness will pass on and in turn our country will smile ......

Independence day this year is very special to me. Because i am not at home, i'm far far far away from this beautiful country. When the clock touched the "12", i realized "Ohhh, its 15th August". I wanted to go back right away. Then i thought, what did i do for my country while i was in India? Nothing, completely nothing. I finished my studies, got a job, had fun with family & friends - u see everything was around me only. "INDIA" was nowhere. Now i realize we understand the essence of something only when we're away from it. 😭

I hope i can someday fulfill the responsibilities of a good citizen. Only then i can take pride of myself. Happy Independence Day to everybody.
