So, time to move on from the 90's and let's see what the 2000's brought. I am going to start with LAGAAN in this series. AAMIR KHAN is the trendsetter. It was nominated for the Academy Award. It broke box office records. Please share your thoughts on this epic movie.

I think aamir took a huge risk with this movie and it paid off.. It just shows that if a movie is good, has good script, good songs and great acting... It will work..
Keep in mind.. This movie was released together with gader.. Which did a huge business and was the highest grossing movie of the year.. Yet it still did a phenomenal business..

One of the complete movie I have seen.. It has all the great ingredient .. From direction to songs and acting.. Everything is great about this movie..

Yes, No actor would have dared to do this one. Like he said on KWK, it was something he believed..& it worked.

Super Lame logic of Aamir fans about Huge risk, aamir being brave 😆 KKHH was released with Bade Mian Chote Mian, a big Romantic ATBB vs Non-brainer-no-script Masala comedy by David Dhawan, both did fabulous business. Aamir did take ghantaa risk, he thought Gadar would have flopped badly coz of it's look being old fashioned film, so he move ahead with the thot to release the film along it, but fell flat as Gadar outshined Lagaan by miles away. Still having the record of film having BIGGEST FOOTFALLS for any film in Indian Cinema which even 3 Idiots / Dhoom 3 / Ghajini didn't have, all 3 Aamir's biggest grossers.
