After a month of fasting, Jaipur girl and TV actress Shireen Mirza is back in her home town for Eid. Her guest list for the festivities included her college principal Amla Batra and her school friends. "Eid has always been a huge affair for me and my family. And we love to host Eid parties. Since I moved to Mumbai, I get to meet all my school friends and teachers only on the festival," she told us, adding, "Working in a daily soap can be tough at times, so I had already bought the gifts in advance." Her big plans for the day also included gorging on the Eid platter. "I am a big foodie. And this festival means feasting and celebrating. As soon as I reached home, I gorged on sheer korma prepared by mom."

Since Shireen was in Mumbai during Ramadan, and was missing her family and the evening roza iftaari, her father specially organized an iftaar party on her set. "That was such a great surprise. Dad specially organized an iftaar party for my cast and crew in Mumbai. We had a memorable time together," she said. While in Jaipur, the actress said she'll miss her elder sister Nausheen, who stays in London. "I miss celebrating the festival with my sister. I miss those days when we used to visit our grandma's place and she used to give me '5 as Eidi. That was so much fun. The five rupee note always made me feel rich. No other costly gift can give me that warmth now," she recalled.
