Go home, kid

By Ranjib Mazumder | Jan 26, 2008, 06.36 PM IST

Age may be not be an issue with Balaji Telefilms, but in most areas of life age does matter, as 17-year-old Krystle D'Souza aka Kinjal in Ekta Kapoor's Kahe Na Kahe realised. On Tuesday night after pack-up, Krystle and her friends decided to chill out at a night club.

But when they arrived at the club the security checkdemanded their identity card. Unfortunately the girls failed to produce any proof of age, they were also under 18 years. According to the rules of the club only people above 18 years of age are allowed entry.

Says a close friend of Krystle, "Krystle was completely in a party mood that day and so she went along with her boyfriend Abhinav Kapoor who plays Atharba in Kahe Na Kahe and Abhinav's sister Akshita. Her friends in their 20s managed to get in easily but Krystle was asked to show her I-card.

She tried hard to convince them to let her in but they were firm on their stand. The elder group tried to smuggle Krystle and her friends but they were stopped. Finally the bunch of girls left."

Says another friend, "Krystle was dressed in simple jeans and top and she was looking very young." When contacted, Krystle said, "Yes,we were denied entry at Poison as we are underage. We were asked to produce a proof of age but didn't have any. But I'm happy that at least some people follow rules and regulations."
