Collector's wife and Doctor's wife can lead the others. For a change they can wear sarees or salwar kameezes. And on occasions they can dress up in ghagras.

Gehna's bindi and colorful clothes depends on how she wants to live. Would she like to be as bedecked as always or would she prefer to have some other style which will look good and also not very loud. I feel the entire ladies should follow a sober but stylish way than bedecked as if they are going to participate in some garba. Those heavy necklaces are a putoff.

I confine myself to medical science simply becauseit is something that matters to me a lot.

I don't mind bloopers or them taking a creative licence where it is appropriate but spreading misinformation is something that is not acceptable.

And they made too many blunders in that field.

So it is better they back off from medical science related tracks if they don't have time or inclination to do some background research.

It's not about her dressing - It is more about changing attitudes - More about showing that love transcends death doesn't die away just because the person is not there in front of our eyes and also there is more to life and one's life doesn't end with the death of the loved ones.

Would be nice if they focused more on Gehna journey as a single parent taking charge of her life and doing something meaningful in life so what if she is widowed?A woman's value doesn't decrease just because she has become a widow.If they showed all these thru meaningful scenes taht would make a convincing story out of Basant's death.

This is not the first widow in BV. If we count from sugna, asha and others. They are all balika widows while gehna is a mature widow .Again it will be a story of gehna which is so far been neglected.

It will be interesting to see what part Jagya will play as the male head of the family. Officially ganga and Jagya have become the heads of the family after the exit of Basant and Bhairon.
Now BH has one couple, one elder, one recently widowed woman who has to take care of her 2 kids

Are we in for a small leap?

I don't think there will be a leap.

As per the patriarchal beliefs Jagya the sole adult male has become the head of the family.

But we may be in for surprise.They may show Gehna taking charge of the family business and taking an active interest in decision making within the family.

Which will be a very good way showing emancipation of women in a feudal set up where men are considered as the head of the family.

True.Gehna is not the first widow in the show.

Gehna is different she became a widow after experiencing a fairly happy contented married life.

So her journey has to be different from the rest of the widows like Phooli Asha Suguna - They became widows before they even knew what marriage and married life is all about and that's the reason why they had shown remarriage tracks on them.

DS had a happy married life even though she was widowed at a very young age and the circumstances in the society were so different during her time

Gehna's times are different Gehna has a strong woman like DSa standing by her so her life and the track is likely to be different and it is unlikely to have remarriage track.

Gehna taking charge will be like anandi taking charge after Jagya left. The difference is Gehna has kids.The family is being run by women. First DS, then anandi. While the males were mere props, working and having no say in decision making. I wish for a change, Jagya will take the reins and lead the family.

The situation is like Queen of England and her son Charles. DS still in command while the Prince is waiting in the wings to become the King.

Well it is a daily soap where women are the majority viewers.So the stories will be women centric.

The no of who watch the show for it's story and family drama is much more than the no of people who watch the show for male leads and couples and their love stories😛

I think it is important to show that there is no need to think that life is over once the husband dies.A woman need not always depend upon a man or look upto a man.

Well Jagya is incharge of his life his constituency adn his hospital and he has got a companion in his wife

Let Gehna take charge of family business and earn money for the family look after the employees who work for them

Anyways movies are full of testosterone driven men rescuing damsels in distress and controlling the lives of women. Why do we need to see those kind of men and helpless damsels on TV also?

gehna will either take care of family business or she will become sarpanch .gehna becoming widow is unfortunate but still like to c as single parent of nandu and bharvi how she manage personal and professional life together .gehna widow track is sad but still it is strong track .looking more forward to this track and more over this track is not useless too
