Veteran B-Town photographer Pradeep Bandekar has been sporting dark glasses while covering events in the recent past. Most stars who noticed this, joked, "Kya tu toh ek dam rockstar ho gaya hai!" Pradeep, however, would smile and continue with his work. Amitabh Bachchan too noticed the dark glasses and casually asked about it. "None of the stars were actually bothered to know the truth," says one fellow photog. Good samaritan Before leaving for the USA, Madhuri Dixit was attending an event when she noticed Pradeep's dark glasses. "Madhuri guessed that Pradeep must have got an eye infection and enquired about it, but Pradeep didn't tell her. After the event, Madhuri walked up to Pradeep and asked for the real reason why he was wearing the glasses. Pradeep told her about his eye surgery and that now he was on the road to recovery," says an eyewitness. The next thing he knew, Pradeep got a call from her secretary Rikku Rakeshnath saying, "Madhuri is very concerned about your eyes and has asked you to feel free to ask for any monetary help if needed." This is a gesture rarely bestowed by a Bollywood star to a media person! Our source adds, "Madhuri has always been helpful to people and she immediately sensed that it must be difficult for a photographer to do assignments when he has gone through an eye surgery. Though Pradeep has refused any help from Madhuri, needless to say, he is very touched by her kind gesture." |
