Sajid Nadiawala Is planning to postpone Kick movie

This is called the rise of the underdog. Little did the producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala imagine that the Marathi film Lai Bhaari, which is incidentally written by him only, will threaten his directorial debut Kick at the box office.

To make matters more ironic, Salman Khan himself has made a special appearance in Lai Bhaari as Bhau (watch it here). The film is all the rage in Maharashtra and is still running to packed houses at some centres. So much so that co-producer Ameya Khopkar is reluctant to withdraw Lai Bhaari from some centres to make way for Kick.

"We will not withdraw from the screens where the film is doing very well. In the theatres where business is okay, we may give them a show or two," Khopkar is quoted as saying by Mumbai Mirror.

Simply put, this could mean loss of revenue for Kick in Maharashtra. It's a scenario none could have imagined: Riteish Deshmukh threatening Salman Khan at the box office.

There's also a rumour that Sajid Nadiadwala is planning to postpone Kick release by a few days. ApunKaChoice can't confirm these rumours.

As things stand now, Kick, starring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez, will hit theatres on July 25.

Salman Khan, who chooses festive season to release his mega movies, continues the trend with "Kick", which is coming out in the Eid week. He believes choosing the right slot is important from business perspective.

He said: "Be it Eid or Diwali, the holiday season matters a lot. There is no release during Ramadan, so when a film releases during this period, people die to see that film. Again with Diwali being a festive season, people want to go and see the film with family."

In the last few years, Salman Khan has booked Eid for his mega releases and most of them turned out to be bumper hits. His "Kick", which marks the directorial debut of Sajid Nadiadwala, will hit the screens July 25.

Usually one big movie comes on each festival, but Salman is of the view that "Diwali, Holi, Republic Day, Christmas - they can accommodate three to four films."

Hope this rumor turn out to be TRUE... Sajid bring Kick on 30th July.
