Raman handled the whole situation very badly.

When he came to know of Adi doing the accident, he should have first comforted the scared, crying boy, and explained first hand of what Mrs. Iyer's state had become and what could have happened. He should have also told him the punishment he could have got for this crime, and what life in a remand home in India is like. That his whole future would have got spoilt for ever.

When Adi would have accepted he was wrong and realised his crime, he should have told Adi that he would definitely save both him and his Mom but he would have to take up a punishment on the side + should have secretly manipulated Shagun to let Adi spend time with Raman (pushing Adi to apologise at this point would have only caused him to rebel as he hates the Iyers)

This could have brought Adi closer to Raman as Raman saved him from going to jail, and he would feel inclined to spend more time with Raman on Bala's prodding too. After some time, as Raman and Adi get closer, and Adi shows true signs of remorse, Raman or Bala could have nudged him into apologising to the Iyers. This apology would have then made more sense as it would have been from a boy who has got his punishment, realised how severe his crime was and how lucky he was that Iyers didn't make a case against him.

I am new to serial but from what I have seen Adi comes from a broken home and lives with a manipulative mother. he has little or no relation with his father.
Yes he deserves to be punished for what he did but sending him to a remand home is not the answer at least not in this case. It will make him more aggressive. Instead Raman should have explained him his mistake and then told him I will tell the magistrate that the mistake was yours and help to defend you
The Judge will give custody to Raman seeing how badly behaved Shagun is

That's what I was thinking while writing the post. Adi has no respect or love for his father. He has a total negative opinion for his father thinking he doesn't loves him and his mother. Raman's decision could aggravate Adi's viewpoint about Raman. He l definitely hate him all the more. 😕

Bang on!!! Raman's soft attitude pushed him in this mess where he was left with no option but to punish his son with such a drastic punishment.

Shagun will brainwash him by saying that raman doesn't love him and she also told him whatever he will do wrong raman will save him so he decided this way that whenever adi will be wrong raman will punish him instead of hiding his sin. Adi still has not realised what crime he did and raman help made him more confident that he will save him always in his wrong deed.

He doesn't have any option first he doesn't listen raman and ishita and to whom he listen that person will just brainwash him

it's a highly complexed situation. Punishing ur child with such a drastic punishment would be a parent's last resort. sadly Raman had no choice left to tell his spoilt child that all his mistakes will not be pardoned easily.

Showing softness at first and then giving drastic punishment is of no use, it will only create antagonism in the mind of the boy.
Even with all the mess he created due to his prior soft attitude, there was no use to give such a drastic punishment. He should have been given him a good punishment at home itself along with a sound explanation and some harsh reality checks about the seriousness of his crime, could have asked Shagun for help and together they could have sorted out the boy. Kept him under strict discipline, limited pocket money etc. He would have kicked and cried but ultimately seen sense, while they cajoled and convinced him on the side. Sending him to remand home or juvenile court could actually affect both the boy and his future adversely. Yes, your boy needs a punishment, but think about whether the punishment will help him improve or not.
