Hi, I'm mostly a silent member myself on this forum but have started recently making posts. I agree with pretty much everything you say about Ranvi's character. In childhood he was well-mannered, mature, and caring little boy. Yes he was reserved and sometimes shy and nervous but the vast majority of the time he was confident and didn't depend on others to get what he wanted or needed for either him or Veera.
But what is missing is a strong storyline for Ranvi. I feel Shivin, as an actor, is struggling to fit in. And as i have said before, makers are so obsessed to make Veera (saher se padi likhi) as the only smart person in the village, they have made everyone else without any brain...and thus Ranvi's character is suffereing
@IKEAwizard.- so perfectly said
Ranjan story was such a let down. I think Gunjan courting Ranvi could have been a little longer. After all, she had hurt him so much, how could everything be okay within two weeks.
I think there is still so much scope in Ranvi's role. Now he is going to be a famous singer, perhaps, he can relocate to the city, or, glamorous world. Meanwhile, the makers can show Gunjan getting carried away in Saher ki Tadak madak (noticed how she tried to copy that city girl the other day), and Ranvi coping with his new lifestyle will be good (And for god's sake, please do not bring Veera in to solve Ranjan's life)..they can still show Gunjan-Ranvi marital differences due to this change in lifestyle. Gunjan has always been an ambitious girl, and suddenly out of nowhere, within two episodes, she is shown as Garelu Bahu...let her go back to that grey shade..the new Gunjan could be someone who still loves Ranvi but she wants more..;-)
Of course, Ranvi can be shown doing some community work (though I feel that will have any drama, and might be too boring after a while)
Sorry to interrupt, but what ambitions did Gunjan have??😳 Fly off to Canada free of cost😆Originally posted by: IKEAwizard
@bold. Yeah, I should have clarified. I meant that he should have been shown doing community work earlier, before Gunjan fiasco. It would be boring if he did it now (like how boring it was when he was trying to run for Sarpanch). I just wanted to see him as a strong, capable, leader-like character before they married him off. That's what I was trying to get at. He still seemed like a "teenager in lurve" vs. a responsible young man when they married him off to Gunjan. That was a mistake, in my opinion.I definitely agree that Gunjan needs to return back to being a girl with ambition. What really irks me is that as soon as Gunjan went from negative to positive, they took away her ambition! As if "good" girls can't be ambitious! Maybe it's just the feminist in me, but I was really hurt by that.
