Chapter 48

Morning 7.30 am

Arnav was first to wake up in the morning. He turned his head to find his wife all plastered on him and sleeping. He smiled remembering her last night conversation.

After a while as the Arnav kissed her and covered her properly and left to go downstairs. He saw Anjali di sitting in kitchen lounge and chatting with Poorav who was preparing something. Soon the two saw him coming.

Poorav: Good morning

Arnav: morning !

Arnav came and sat next to his di, hugging her.

Arnav: so what will the champ craving for breakfast today?

Anjali: chote...

Arnav: I was just asking, we need to be prepared.

Poorav: would you like coffee jijaji?

Arnav: yes, but why are you preparing it, the maid must be coming in a while.

Poorav: it is ok jijaji. Each day I prepare it for Poorvi, she needs cup of coffee to wake her senses. So I am in habbit.

Arnav: ok, but without sugar

Poorav: I know that.

Poorav soon handed a cup of steaming hot chocolate to di.

Arnav was surprised that his di was allowing Poorav to do this when she never let him do this, as if reading his thoughts Anjali replied.

Anjali: I was doing it on my own, but he did not let me,he pushed me into this lounger and now he is doing this.

No wonder he is Khushi's brother.

Arnav: It is good atleast there are few people who can deal with your stubbornness.

Anjali: thanks Poorav, its yum. Maybe I can bully you for this every morning.

Poorav: anytime di

Poorav brought Arnav's coffee too.

Arnav: thanks

Poorav: welcome, I will just give this to Poorvi and come.

Poorav returned after few minutes, and had his coffee too. As they all almost finished, Poorvi too came tumbling downstairs sleeply with her empty cup.

Arnav: morning sleepy head

Poorvi: morning jijs and di

Bending down to Anjali she planted a kiss on her stomack.

Poorvi: morning little champ.

Arnav was amused at her antics, smiling he thought pagal.

Poorvi: is jiji up? And what time is jiji going to be admiited?

Arnav: no she is still sleeping, and 11am we need to admit her.

9am

Khushi was waking up, and as if sensing it Arnav entered his room to find his wife turning. He quickly climbed back into the bed.

Khushi sensing him came to him and cuddled closer.

Khushi: I am not leaving you; your plans of marrying her will never come true.

Arnav was amused.

Arnav: no morning, no kiss, direct dhamki (direct warnings)

Khushi: by the way who is the girl?

Arnav decided not to answer.

Khushi: don't tell me, I don't need to know it, because I am not leaving you.

You are going to be struck with me for life.

Arnav was more than happy with this track, this was much better.

Arnav pulled her more and pinned her and kissed her hard. And soon without warning he scooped her in his arms and sat her on the washroom basin and gave her brush, while she brushed he got her and his towels ready.

Khushi: what are you doing?

Arnav did not answer her back and left the washroom, to give her some privacy for loo.

Slightly mature

As soon as Arnav heard the shower, he re-entered the bathroom, surprising Khushi. And before she could ask, he said.

Arnav: let me help you jaan, we can have bath romance.

Arnav helped her bath, while she helped him; they enjoyed the intimacy, touching each other.

Soon Arnav wrapped towel around his waist and wrapped khushi in her towel completely and carried her to the room. He started to dry her, but his romance was on, his lips on her neck, shoulders, nape. Soon his mouth covered her breasts and Khushi was lost in his sensual attack. Gaining control over himself he helped her get dressed in simple salwar-kameez. She just loved it when he applied sindoor and put mangalsutra around her.

She turned back and hugged him hard; planting soft kisses on his heart.

Arnav: khushi stop, I need to get dressed, as it is seeing you leave me all hungry, please don't tempt me.

Khushi left him to pull out a simple light blue shirt and casual trouser for him.

Arnav got dressed while Khushi buttoned him up.

As they proceeded to go downstairs for breakfast, Khushi cornered Arnav.

Khushi: I am not leaving you. And you just wish I don't ever find her or else

she will not be able to recognize herself.

Arnav just pulled her closer.

Arnav: what will you do?

Khushi: just try me.

Arnav laughed.

Khushi: leave that. I don't want to talk about her. Arnav please don't change back, I have found your love now, I don't want all this to ever change. You make me feel so loved, so wanted.

Arnav: just trust me, we gona have a long life together fighting and making up.

Soon everyone was have breakfast and Arnav told NK to stay with Di at home while others will go with us. Anjali protested but agreed when Poorav promised her that he will take her to meet Khushi in the evening.

10.30am

Arnav and Khushi bid good bye to di and left for hospital with Poorav and Poorvi. Khushi was transferred into a personnel suit, customised with all luxuries immediately. Soon her tests started, Khushi was little scared but having Arnav by her side calmed her. In between at around 1pm, Khushi asked Arnav to send back Poorav and Poorav back for lunch. After Khushi assured them of Arnav being with her they left promising to be back in the evening.

Khushi was given bland lunch which she ate quietly. Arnav too had ordered for lunch with her. Khushi was so thrilled to know that the patients family members could stay there aswell with all facilities and she was happy that Arnav would be with her.

Another round of tests left Khushi exhausted and she fell asleep. Arnav watched her sleep. A while later Dr. Sifiana called Arnav at her room. She wanted to brief him about the process and some details.

Arnav was scared, and the doctor could feel his nervousness. Doctor told him to be positive and supportive and rest everything would be fine. They had a long discussion in detail before Arnav left for Khushi's suit.

Khushi was still sleeping when the family arrived. All saw Arnav sitting close to Khushi, holding her hand and lost. Anjali could read his entire form; she knew he was scared to lose anything more. She knew it was time to step into elder sister shoes and she did.

Indicating other, she moved forward and neared Arnav and hugged him from behind in a bear hug. She knew he must be crying, so shielding him from all eyes, she wiped his tears and said softly only for him to hear "Chote, it is not the time to break. Khushi needs you. I know this time is not good, it is testing. But trust me when I say this

"whenever you feel like it is becoming untolerable and unbearable, it is an indication that bad time is coming to an end with good time ahead."

and don't be afraid, I am with you, khushi is coming back to us, she will get well soon and faster in your care and love. Just trust your love. And I hate to see this crying out of control chote, I want to see the out to protect, ready to kill ASR who knows how to control and fight against anything when it comes to him and his family. I want to see that Arnav."

Arnav by now had absorbed di's words and gripped his control back. he turned around and held di firmly, putting his head on her stomach. Anjali caressed his hair, and soon the whole gang was around in a group hug, gaining strength to stay strong in front of khushi.

Soon ASR was back. He pulled a chair for Anjali, while others found seating for themselves. Waiting for Khushi to wake up. Khushi's peaceful slumber was broken by the sharp prick of the injection, she was administered.

As soon as she was about to complain, NK diverted her attention.

NK: Khushi ji what kind of cranky siblings you have. They have such boring interests and jobs. This Poorav he persued MBA, business minded...bloody bore and look at her Poorvi, she did Finance and Accounting, so so boring.

Nobody is creative like me, like photographer for wildlife, fashion, and magzines.

Arnav: what the?

Poorvi: You just called me bore, are you nuts...

Well for your dumb brain, ASR is the most stylish and wanted designer.And AR industries and brand earns millions of dollars just on creativity.

Arnav: You don't need to tell him that because you know, he is a wildlife photographer, because forest and wild is where he belongs, monkey.

All laughed at expense of NK and Khushi chide them on being mean with NK.

Arnav loved the nok jhok between NK and Poorvi, he could see the sparks.

Soon all bid goodbye to Khushi and Arnav.

Arnav and Khushi had a quite dinner and Arnav kissed her till she slept and he too slept occupying the half bed in the room looking at her.

Morning 7am

Arnav woke up to see a sleeping khushi, she was in light sleep, and sunlight was disturbing her sleep. Arnav got up, brushed and went to her and started to nuzzle her neck and peppered kisses on her lips. Khushi enjoyed , soon she opened her eyes and wished him "morning" and was answered with a tight kiss on lips.

Morning 9am

After liquid breakfast, khushi vitals were measured. Khushi was to be kept on liquid diet from today till operation and her vitals were to be checked.

The entire day was passed easily as Arnav kept her busy, they had so much to talk about, and they talked about their whole 1 year and about their childhood.

In the evening the entire gang kept her occupied. The best was the kicking session of the anjali's baby, who some how detested NK and he was never allowed the feel of the kick. Arnav was so amused.

Arnav: Di, I love champ, he just have tastes like me and he knows how to shoo irritating people.

Little did Arnav know that his comment was detested not only by NK, Khushi, Di but also Poorvi who voiced out on how cute, caring and nice Nanheji is.

The doctors were fine with her today's stats.

LATER late in the evening while Khushi was sleeping, Arnav had a word with Akash and Payal just before they boarded the flight with the family.
