While initially there was a lot of excitement about Karan Tacker's international choreographer Elena Samodanova, we now wonder if having her as the coach is a disadvantage for him. The judges haven't been particularly impressed with the duo's Indian acts. For Elena, the genre is entirely new and this seems to be affecting the couple's ratings.

When questioned about the same, Karan said, "It definitely adds an advantage when an international choreographer is your partner. I've always said that I am on Jhalak to learn' dance. With Elena's help I am getting to learn international dance forms as well. It's amazing that Elena has so much knowledge of our Indian style of dancing. Our jodi is a great combination, where east meets west.
