Incorrect. Border was the biggest hit of 1997. Refugee was the same genre and was released in 2000. Don't forget Gadar was a blockbuster of 2001. The theme was not off-beat. It was just a really really bad film.It was panned heavily upon release. The music and Kareena were praised. Even Abhishek got praise. It was the director JP Dutta that got all the flack for his whack direction.
