The Palace

THE HEART IS A LONELY HUNTER

Mrityunjay on his way to his place, was remembering her fragrance, the touch of her hair on his face and the way she had held him.

The Prophet was waiting for Mrityunjay at his house.

"Where were you?" asked the Prophet angrily.

"Guruji you remember today I was talking about that girl Tara. She came here today to thank me for my help. I asked her about that day's incident. The reason for her fear and who she was running from."
"She saw something weird in this forest. She saw a red eyed woman who was draining a girl's youth from her. In narrating all this she got late, so I dropped her outside the forest" replied Mrityunjay while tying Maria up in her stall in the stable.

"What do you think? Is she telling the truth? Do you believe her?" the Prophet questioned.

"Yes I believe her. Being a hunter I believe her and I think she saw a witch performing black magic. And now it's my duty to find that witch as she is not going to stop until she gains her full strength" replied Mrityunjay removing his sword.

"But I think you need to listen first to what I will say now."

"Today in the middle of the forest the King's men were killed. They were killed by a vampire. And you know what you have to do."

"Yes Guruji. I need to hunt down that vampire. "
"Tomorrow morning will be the last morning for that vampire." saying this Mrityunjay went inside to collect his weapons.

"But do remember to take something to cover your eyes , as vampires are best at compelling people. You will need to fight it covering your eyes." with this instruction Guruji went into his room.

Mrityunjay went to his closet for the guard he uses to cover his eyes during fights with these type of creatures. He saw Tara's red scarf. He immediately took that and tied it on his hand. Then he removed something from his pocket. It was Tara's earring, which had got stuck on Mrityunjay's shirt. He smiled looking at it and kept it in his closet.

Back at the palace, Prince Aditya narrated the whole incident to his wife Princess Meethi. On hearing about the attack and the unknown girl in the forest, she got worried. She requested Aditya never to go to that place in the forest.
Prince assured her that nothing can harm him as long as she is by his side, and hugged her.

Tara was not able to sleep. Sleep eluded her today. Each time she closed her eyes, she saw Mrityunjay and his gorgeous physique. Her hands were feeling his body and her ears were still listening to his heartbeats.

Next morning Tara got up late as she had gone to sleep late because of last night's unrest. She hurried to the palace and thankfully reached there on time.

She first went to Princess Vasundhara, and asked her the reason for calling her there so urgently. Princess Vasundhara told her to meet Princess Meethi first as from the morning she was looking worried.

Tara went into Princess Meethi's room. Meethi, on seeing Tara, ran towards her, hugged her and started crying.

Tara was surprised and was unable to quieten her. She asked,"What's the matter Princess? May I help you?"

"Tara yesterday the Prince went hunting and there he and his men were attacked by a vampire. He was not able to see the vampire's face. On top of it, there was a girl who tried to seduce him. And then she suddenly disappeared."

"You think that girl was the vampire?" asked Tara.

"Yes"

Tara was shocked. She asked, "What? How is this possible Princess? A vampire? There are no vampires in Storybrooke. And how do you know that girl is a vampire?"

Arendelle Princess Meethi knew many things about vampires. As a princess, she was taught to identify vampires.

She explained, "Vampires are fast devils. They can move from one place to other in the blink of an eye. They are bloodsuckers and their favourite is human blood. They first compel people, then drink blood through the vein normally in the neck."

"They compel people by seeing in their prey's eyes without blinking and manipulate them and the person who is compelled never understands or remembers what he is doing. This trance can only be broken by the vampire who compelled him or when that vampire dies."

"When the King's men were attacked, no one saw any animal there. The next moment all of them were dead . They were killed because of blood loss, but there was not a single drop of blood on the ground. All the dead bodies had a bite mark. "

"The girl who tried to seduce the Prince was looking in his eyes without blinking and the very next moment she was nowhere to be found"

"All these confirm that they were attacked by a vampire and that girl the Prince saw, was a vampire."

"No need to worry Princess. Our King will find that vampire and kill her." Tara tried to console Princess Meethi.

Tara remained for the whole day with the princesses, trying to cheer up Princess Meethi.

Seeing Tara's attempt to cheer the Princess, the Queen was even more impressed with Tara.

Mrityunjay went to the place were the King's men were killed to find some clues about the vampire. But there were no signs of the vampire or where she came from.
Mrityunjay returned empty handed to his place and informed Guruji about the same.

"We must wait for her move."
"This forest is so vast that she can hide anywhere."
"You keep a check around that place were the King's men were killed. She will return to that place for sure. I am also keeping a check on the other parts of the forest."
Saying this Guruji was going out of the house when he noticed the red scarf.

He said, "Nice scarf!"

Mrityunjay noticed Tara's red scarf wrapped around his palm.

He smiled seeing this and once again he was lost in Tara's thoughts. Once again her hair was touching his beard, once again he felt her soft touch.

"Mrityunjay what has happened to you ? Why are you imagining her? Why you are feeling her fragrance ? Are you in love??"
"Love ? Who? Me?"

Thinking this, he removed the scarf and kept it in his closet, only to notice her earring.
He picked it, smiled and kept it once again in the closet.

When Tara returned home, it was dusk. She wanted to go to the forest but didn't. She decided that tomorrow she would definitely go there.

"Kalavati has seen Tara. She will definitely be after her. Although she does not know the prophecy but for her ritual to gain youth, she would definitely choose Tara because of her beauty. I need to protect her from Kalavati." The Prophet thought while pacing in his room.

"My son must be alive. I just want to see him once. I need to meet Witch Kalavati and plead her to tell me about my son. Tomorrow I will go to the Enchanted Forest and find that witch."
The Queen thought while looking at the dull bloodline tree.
