I want to know where the opinion lines up, as I found the last three episodes to be pedantic and lethargic, while in other threads I have read a few threads that show a liking to this new direction.
.
For me, I feel as if this new direction has been introduced aimlessly and their is no sense of progression in the story other than the very predictable outcomes of the plot points. Knowing the story shown so far it adds to my confusion of where they are taking this, and perhaps that is the goal. Most of the characters are not holding true to their sketch, in my view, except for maybe KcM, and that adds to my disagreement with what is being shown.
.
So, what are you thoughts on the current change in set, character behavior, etc. and how would you describe these last three episodes?

Mala track did not work. It was one of the most important tracks of the show- the reconciliation of Rudra and Mala and Paro being the catalyst. However, with the tendency of the writers to constantly focus on just one character to the detriment of not only the other characters but even the story narration led to it's failure. This has been building up for sometime, I don't recall one scene when Mala was with Tejawat in happier times where she was pining for her son, even secretly. She seemed to remember Rudra when she was in shackles, juxtaposed to Rudra crying over and over again for his mom. If it was a tool used to create suspense about who could be Rudra's runaway mom and keeping her identity in wraps, it backfired tremendously, as no sympathy for Mala meant no empathy for the reconciliation. Dilsher's volte face and Paro's insistence did not help either, why support a mom who seems selfish and self absorbed upto this point. Why does Paro even care about Ranawats if Rudra is wrapped around her finger? Some of her need to have her own family and own home and strong relations as an orphan, if developed, could have mitigated some of the backlash.

So, now with a quick peace between son and mother they have moved to next track. One has to wait to see how this track is handled by writers and creatives. If it boils down to two good-looking, muscular men trying to get back at each other constantly, can't say how long the makers can sustain the attention of viewers. However, if all the principal characters are developed and given space and the dynamics of relations are shown changing gradually with this new threat to the Ranawats, it would be interesting.

Like with the Tejawat, Laila, Mala tracks, it depends how the CVs execute the story. With proper weightage to all characters, gradual development of story and balanced, sensible screenplay interest can be generated. Concept wise I can see several positives, another loop of Varun's death getting a closure, Paro's widowhood questioned, consequences for Rudra's uncontrolled anger at battlefield where he killed all witnesses even after the threat to border was neutralized, his and Paro's reexamination of their relationship, Mala and Dilsher's support to them, Mythali and Samrat getting close to Parud in turn getting their support in tackling Mohini, Mohini jeopardizing her own security in her pride and anger, Sunehri realising her folly of trusting a stranger (growth from a kid, to a mature young lady). So, the possibilities are many if the CVs don't continue with their one sided story telling. One remains in hope that this show will get more interesting and get more appreciation.

I think nowadays we have some good moments, but not overall good episodes. CVs are struggling to find a combination that clicks, the body doubles due to Ashish's JDJ participation are a pain. The drama is dragged, but romance is rushed...and I am pulling my hair out 😆Having said that, I still love RR 😳 heck I always will. But I think the writers and PH need some clarity in their work and the direction they wish to take for the serial.

U- This would be brilliant, but I've learnt to keep my expectations in check. However, I find myself getting excited once more with this track. And all those possibilities. Kya karein, dil to bachha hai ji.

@ Puglet- I actually liked the last few episodes. The beginning of the track so far has been good. I just hope the story and this track is allowed to develop. Because now there's nothing else, literally nothing else, for the makers and writers to pull in viewers. So this one has to work. And for that , it has to be handled very carefully. One can only wait , watch and hope .

Everything is being rushed - probably due to Ashish's unavailabilty to a show that brought him so much limelight, as well as the monsoons.

Also, scenes in US are being chopped because they are much shorter than the videos loaded on desi**fo***.net.

I have experienced MLs wandering off to other projects, and thus I am more unhappy.

I am looking forward to new villain entry as it may bring Parud relationship to the forefront again. Am tired of Mala and her deadpan face. Thank God there is no Ashish crying any more.

Change of sets is due to current set leaking and frankly I dont care, because new sets are also supposed to be very good.

Do other people feel Rudra is not showing his mardaangi as he used to earlier ?

Couldn't agree with you more, especially @ bold. The problem the cvs seem to be having is their need to show Rudra as the infallible hero ... hence they compromise all the other characters. The first is okay, the second is where the story-telling suffers greatly and that's where the disconnect arises. A few of the scenes you mentioned above ... Mala pining for her son in private, ... Paro's need for a family pushing her to make Rudra accept his mom ... if they had shown any of these scenes even a tenth of the time they showed Rudra's emotions, the tracks would have flowed better.

Paro's widowhood will not be questioned, neither will Rudra's actions on the battlefront ... because they will paint Rudra as less than perfect. So very honestly, I don't have too many expectations from this track ... from the last few episodes, that seems to be the way they're going ... two men fighting over a woman, whose only role is to be protected ... today especially reinforced it for me.
