@bold ... that is where I feel the show has failed hugely ... all the characters have not been well etched and the screenplay has been jumpy and very one sided. You can't run a show on one well etched character, and leave the rest to revolve only around him ... it makes for poor story telling and we can see the results.

I am glad I got to read these reviews/thoughts...and keeping it clean and not bashing...as all actors are great, and if the makers cannot use them it is their loss, I hope they get back in the game, everyday I hope for positive, so still waiting. And I feel this is the only sensible show...

I was very keen to see Mala in a positive light & I was SURE that we will get to see that ...get to see how she pined/wept for her son...how,though outwardly she looked happy but inwardly she was a devastated mother...how she tried her best to get him back etc etc ...but ...sigh...sigh...what did we get ?? Nothing ?? It's not just us, the IFians but everyone that I know , was very excited about this track but all are highly disappointed now because of the SAME reason that you mentioned...On a lighter note...I am glad we agreed on something ,finally 👏

I hoped so too to see how Mala suffered...wud have added something to her character, and we cud relate to her...this wud have been one more splendid track if they had executed it properly...it's the makers loss, I think...I still watch in hope they give will come back...all actors are amazing, as we have seen their previous work...

Loving your responses Diya.
I am not a Indian TV watcher...just 3 and all Sanaya's and from what I read about the behind the scenes is that the story changes based on survival instincts for the channel, PH and sponsors.
However, with this story I am still optimistic with the way they are telling it.
I think the "missing years" of Mala and Paro are going to come up in the coming track where Paro is terrorized.
I think there is a parallel in Paro-Rudra relationship till now and his recessed loss/guilt about Mala. In this equation is the reason for the separation that will happen. To let go for love!!!
Let's see.

I take your point that Paros loss of her parents has not gotten as much focus recently as it did in the beginning of the serial...while Rudra's pain and loss has gotten more focus ...

Betrayal...by Varun...I don't put in the same category at all...because that bond was never built in the first place...Varun was a husband by a ritual...and their relationship had not built to any extent...than a mere small meeting...nothing compared to a bond that was shared by Paro and her parents or Rudy and his mom...

Coming back to both losses...they are different...one is a loss, the other is a willing abandonment...one you can understand as bad fate...that they did not choose...you are still sure and never have any doubts that your parents LOVED you...no such explanation suffices for abandonment...

The only time Rudy has referred to Paros loss...when she drew a parallel...between the two...and he said...it is not the same...I do not think he belittled her loss by saying so...he just didn't want them to be compared because they are different...

Regarding Paro pushing Rudy...I like it that she is trying...I like it that she cares...what I had issue with is not the intention but the expectation of speed...and then Thursdays episode was over the top for me...This is a sensitive issue...and should be handled with sensitivity on all sides...I do really believe that one should be allowed to take time to feel what they feel...you can't make people feel something...It takes time for people to come to terms with new realities...one should be more sensitive to their needs...rather than deciding for them...how soon they should do what...

I think the only reason the track was rushed was TRP...nothing else...There was no reason ...why it had to happen yesterday...and it couldn't happen in a week or two...or more...

Oh well...it is what it is...I think the creators do need to keep more attention to keeping Paros character...well connected to the audience and consistent...They sometimes...lack...or may be it is just me...who thinks giving people their time and their space...even when you are trying to nudge them along...to something...is THAT important...and it was a nonissue...

yes no one understood why paro wanted what she wanted to happen then and now. yes please lets assume i am stupid and i can't come to IF to read a two page long analysis to understand her motivations. so how the regular viewing audience supposed to understand her when there is no focus on her thought process, so we are left to make our own inferences. it all seems too convenient like we are trying to wipe clean floor of any dust. it is not right or wrong that is important at times, but the wrong doesn't need to be justified as right. i never understood why paro had to resort to mind games, rudra knew the truth now and he wasn't pissed at his mother's face anymore. so there was no need for paro to expedite this process, they could have just had her same some nice dialogue about her husband is coming around and she will be there for him and let him heal with time and they could have switched to the new track. even i think it is too beneath paro to manipulate someone emotionally even if it is for the right reasons. paro should know that rudra has trust issues and that is the last thing she should be messing around with.

it is like they wanted to give mala depth but didn't want to either but if they were that worried about TRP audience and mala in her glory won't be accepted, then they could have just said she had amnesia and forgot her family and started living with tejawat. all this works in ekta kapoor shows and she gets the highest TRPs. maybe the problem is audience can understand ridiculousness because you watch with no expectation, but they can't accept half baked attempts at serious story telling it is like you give them hope that what we are watching is genuine but in the end it is not it is worst it is a bigger turn off, if you are going to go bold then finish the story have conviction.

Am really surprised ... and happy 😆 ... this post reached ten pages without any bashing! To everyone who posted ... thanks for all your posts, and for putting your opinion forward with clarity and sense.
I hope the makers read this, and see that we are not looking only for romance, we want some consistency and modicum of logic in the story line ... everything else will follow.
Let's hope the new track is better thought out and does well for TRPs.
