Styling Advice for Preetika

Preetika - I think you're a very good actress, and you're playing Aliya extremely well with a lot of poise. However, when I watch the show, I really feel that your look can be improved. I think you're a really pretty girl, but on television (especially in high definition), the audience sees every little detail. So, I think that there are ways to improve. This is some friendly advice from a fan.

First off - I have seen pictures of you where your hair is darker and straight. That style looks amazing on you and complements your skintone. Right now, your hair comes across as slightly reddish on-screen, which isn't the best color for you. Also, the wavy/curly style often looks messy on screen. A sleeker style would look much more put together. I think your hairdresser needs to do a better job.

Secondly - with your makeup. As a woman, I understand that we all have imperfections. But, that's what makeup is for. 😊 I read that you do your own makeup. While I appreciate your effort, I think you might want to get help from a makeup artist. As I said, on-screen the audience sees every imperfection. I imagine that you are shooting in hot conditions, and having perfect skin isn't easy. But, using the right products - primer, HD Foundation for oily skin, a good matte powder, concealer - these things are really important. Also, using good makeup brushes, and doing some contouring can help. Even small things like - uneven eyeliner, or not filling in your eyebrows, or the wrong eyeshadow and liptick - can really look wrong on-screen. It might look good in person, but it doesn't translate on-screen sometimes. So I think getting a makeup artist will really make a difference. Please consider doing so.

Again - no bashers or haters please. I really love the show and want it to be as good as possible which is why I'm giving this advice to Preetika. She is a lovely girl, but there are ways to improve.

but the reddish tint is so unique and different and her curls are beautiful - and her skin looks GOLDEN!

she stands out because she doesnt have the usual fair skin/dark hair combination, i think she looks wonderful with reddish/brown hair 😛

I think my concern is more with the messiness of the look. Curly hair can look good, but it should also look put together, which it mostly does not. And, her skin color is fine - I just wish she did better makeup. I feel like she does very "natural" makeup. This is fine for every day life. But, for TV, she needs to lay it on thicker to cover her imperfections. And, the eyeliner/eyeshadow application is a big problem I think. Which is why she should just get a makeup artist. It would save her a lot of time and effort. Just my opinion. 😊
