Prologue

"Maya neeeds a mom..chotey!" was all Anjali could say to convince her brother. " I know you dont need a wife but think of her, she needs a mom"

" she does not need mom, she has me, you and nani. why does she need anyone else? even we grew up without our parents. I just dont see a reason di"

" chotey its not the same, she needs someone to see as a mother figure? she needs to hold her moms hand and learn from a mother. she needs her mother to scold her and advise her at different stages of her life. She will need her mothers love chottey. It will never be the same if is me or nani, could I or nani replace mumma's place in your life?

That was his undoing. True no one could replace his mumma or the special bond they shared but he just could not digest the fact that he needs to marry someone else to But looking at his daughters face sleeping in the craddle, she needs a mom. Anjali has her own family to take care of and Nani is getting older and most of the time he is busy with work as the owner of AR Corp. He decided to give in to his di and nani's demand after weeks of coersion from them.

"One thing di, i want a mom for my daughter and not a wife. The person I marry should not expect anything from me as a husband. she is just a nanny in the name of my wife." arnav said looking at his di questioningly?

"but why chotey?" anjali asked stunned

"Di you know why! I dont trust anyone especially after what she did! how can I trust anyone plus I know why you found this middle class girl, because she needs money and what better way than marrying a rich guy although he was married before and has a kid"

"khushi ji is not like that, chotey! yes she agreed because of money but she has a strong reason and she knows you for a long time"

"di i dont know anyone with the name of khushiji or what so ever..and the marriage should be a simple one and ASAP. I will be leaving next month to London so I want to get over with it soon." saying that he stormed of from the room angrily.
