I was watching EMA and my daughter happened to pass by and started watching too. She doesn't understand hindi as we live here( US) so she keeps questioning me about what is going on .
Our conversation was so hilarious I thought I should share it with u guys
D : mom who is she ? The one who is cooking?
Me: kalpi she's the heroine of the show
D : heroine means what.?
Me: heroine means the main person who gets the hero in the end
D: like Cinderellla and her prince!
Me : yeah that's right
D: who is the prince ? This guy?
Me : yeah isn't he handsome ?
D : he's alright he's old and sad looking ? Who's that lady with him?
Me: that's his wife and the heroine's sis
D : like the wicked step sister?
Me : yeah kind of
D: so how come she's is wife ? Why did he marry the step sister ? Did he put the black thing on wrong girl?
Me: what black thing ?
D : the one u wear on indian dresses on indian days ? The one u said dad put for u when u married him?
Me : oh that ! Yeah i guess he did . He put it on the wrong sis
D : why is he holding hands with her? He should just take it from her and put it round cinderella And then kiss and live happily ever after
Me : yeah but some people are not allowing him to do that
D : thdn call her fairy godmother and she will do her magic
Me: i dom't know where she is
D: there she is ( gauri on screen) scolding prince charming. See even she's angry at him.
Me : yeah but she's not helping him too
D : what kind of a story is this ! Prince charming is not dancing with cinderella and fairy godmother is also not helping ! So boring! Why do watch this? Lets watch frozen instead !
Me : yeah lets watch another show
Btw : my daughter is 6 yrs old
