Prachi Desai, Bani of Kasamh Se, has decided to put her education plans on the back burner and concentrate on her acting career instead. Prachi has given her HSC exams this year in Pune and is awaiting her results, which are going to be announced on June 8.
Prachi is now planning to do a correspondence course from Mumbai. "I was thinking about continuing with college but I want to make my life easier. I cannot go to Pune for exams and come back and shoot again, so doing correspondence is a good option," feels Prachi.
Recalling how difficult it was to juggle between studies and shoots, she says, "I used to finish shooting at 6 AM and then travel all the way to Pune to appear for my paper. For four hours, I used to study in my car on the way to Pune, and then while returning after the paper, I used to sleep only for three hours. That was the only time I used to get some rest."
So is she nervous about the results?
"The only reason I am tense is because all the newspapers are going to carry the news after my results are out. And, as I told you, it was a hectic schedule and I even broke my leg during the shoot. So I am not expecting much this time - just a first class."
Which was her toughest paper?
"Economics. I tried to finish the paper and had written all the answers but in my own way and, in the end, I could not remember any of them. So I am worried about that paper."
And is she missing the college?
"Of course. I especially miss my friends, canteen and bunking lectures."
Prachi had an accident on the sets and had six stitches on her leg but she still appeared for her exams. She was supposed to sit for the exams last year itself, but could not make it because she had just...........
