Sidharth Malhotra talks about doing two-hero films | ||
Upala KBR | ||
Sidharth Malhotra is the only actor of the current lot who is moving away from single-hero films and surprising everyone with his choices. Whether it is with the characters he is playing or the fact that he is not afraid of being pitted against other actors. In his next film Ek Villain, he is pitted against Riteish Deshmukh. And in Warrior, he is working with Akshay Kumar. His contemporaries like Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Varun Dhawan, etc are still to sign films with senior actors. It says a lot about Sidharth's confidence that he's willing to take on such parts. When quizzed if he doesn't feel insecure about taking up a two-hero project? He says, "Oddly no. I am doing films with other heroes as well as solo hero films. But it's not like I'm planning to balance it out. For me, the genre or the content in the script is more exciting. I go by the script and vision of my directors. Experimenting with different roles keeps it exciting for the audience and me. Working along with senior actors is a privilege as one gets to learn." Sidharth adds there are various kinds of films being offered to him and he wants to try his hand at everything. "The only thing that I think of when I sign a role is whether it is different from the last role I played. There is so much new stuff to do that it doesn't really matter what anybody else is doing or who else is there. It's not like solo nahin hai' it's still an important protagonist, an important character, and that's what matters." upala.kbr@dnaindia.net |
