Smita is the best. She has proved her versatility with two songs of very different genres. Her "Kya Janoon Saajan" was outstanding, and the best I have heard in any contest from any singer. Smita, you are the best.

I didn't think she deserved a standing ovation for various reasons:

1. Not her best performance till date.

2. She chose a song without many nuances. It was a plain song. Anybody could have sung it. But with Smita's calibre, this song wasn't right for her.

3. Also in Fame Gurukul, I remember Javed critizing a contestant named Neha and told her that she chose a very easy song and that in this competition, easy way doesn't get you far.... 😕 I remember that girl sang it as well as Smita.

Now, the way you put it across....It does seem as if they took it a little far...

Yeah, the fact that she got a standing ovation for THAT song does make me wonder.....Neha Kakkar went through the same thing. Sonu & Farah ripped the poor girl into shreds(as well as Antara) for the supposed "easy" song.
