Smita..standing ovation! WOW! WOW! - Page 2

^^Well it is an easy song to sing but u have to give rcedit to Smita coz this song wasn't in sync with her style/attitude or character. And she sounded gr8 and looked lik she was having a ball. 👏

Ayesha SMITA really deserved that standing ovation ..


I listened to her for the 2nd time closing my eyes and and everything about her voice : the feel, the melody , the strength ..just left me speechless...

She won't come to bottom 4 tom ( keeping my fingers crossed )

i listened to her song twice becoz couldnt resist her song, it was fabulous 👏 👏 👏 i was disappointed that she came in bottom four but i hope this time she sticks and gets to show more of the talent, smita rocks 👏 👏 👏 she truly rocked 😛

well, I agree Smita is a fabulous singer, with awesome voice and control ... not only that she is very versatile too .... But, standing ovation .... that's a bit too much ... I mean, last year Neha sang the same song and it was mind-blowing (also Neha has a forte in these type of songs), and she was reprimanded for choosing an easy song .... I feel this is lowering the standard of II ... In II-2 only 3-4 performances got a standing ovation and those were the likes of "Tu hi re" by Amey ....

As you said Neha had a forte for this songs, so she could be reprimanded rightly so. But this is not Smita's forte, the judges know this and thats why this standing ovation. I feel she deserved it .👏

Actually whoever mentioned earlier about Neha singing that song and she
was told off is so correct. Neha did do a great job. Because when Smita was
singing this song I was remembering the same thing. But also we have to
remember that that was a different panel of judges. Plus I think that what
they liked was that Smita choose something which is not her Forte. Its like if
Neha Kakkad would have sang a semi classical. Singing Zubi Zubi showed
that smita was making an effort to be versatile. I give the girl credit.

Yes, he said it was ABC type of song.
But none of the judges today felt that. Plus, Neha used to always sing upbeat and peppy songs so its a different story now. Last week, Smita sang a tough song.

Smita is going to be eliminated so she was given a standing ovation by Javed Akthar.Remember Amit Sana from II1 he was given standing ovation but he was in the danger zone and on the verge of elimination.
Smita will be eliminated before Anu comes back to II3.

Why do both of u feel that these songs r not her forte ???? She sang an item number song from "Khakee" in the audition round ... also check out her song from the last round of solo auditions in Mumbai ... that was also a pretty good fast number .... The only difference, which I felt was that she opened up more this time and actually danced a little bit .... But in terms of singing, she has been excellent in these songs .... She is just a fabulous and versatile singer ...
